Who are you and what do you do?

Elder law attorney, writer, mom, grandmother, spouse, animal lover, amateur musician, amateur cook and student of a Tibetan meditation teacher based in Ann Arbor, MI.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I bring my thoughts to a neutral place, recall everything I am grateful for, remember that there’s an expiration date stamped on the body I’m in right now and start scribbling down ideas. That’s step 1. Step 2 and onward are matters of maintaining focus and a sense of humor. Not too tight and not too loose with the day-to-day goals. Then ideas come to life.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

[amazon_link id=”0805050876″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]An Interrupted Life [/amazon_link]by Etty Hillesum. Read it because it can propel you out of personal day-to-day dissatisfaction and into a sense of deep appreciation for yourself and others.

What is one piece of advice that you’d like to give?

Think twice before thinking in a negative and judgmental manner.

What is one idea that you’re going to bring to life in 2012?

I am going to finish the book I started writing last spring.
