Adam Kutner – Founder of Adam S. Kutner and Associates

I think we sometimes underestimate the people who are already in our lives, and it is important to seek their insight as often as possible.

An attorney with 20 years of experience representing personal injury clients in the Las Vegas area, Adam S. Kutner has a unique background that provides his clients with a distinct advantage. Kutner came to Las Vegas, Nevada, and initially worked as an attorney representing the insurance side of personal injury cases. That experience has proved vital to the success of The Law Office of Attorney Adam S. Kutner and Associates, as Mr. Kutner has been able to draw on his past experience while negotiating favorable settlements for clients or representing them at trial.

Mr. Kutner completed his undergraduate studies in the Ivy League, earning his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. After the time spent at Penn, Mr. Kutner completed his law degree at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, after which he relocated to the Las Vegas area.

When representing clients in a wide variety of cases, Mr. Kutner believes that it is of the utmost importance to treat all clients with respect and compassion at all times (PR Newswire), and to keep them updated with regard to the details of their case. As a result, Mr. Kutner has developed a reputation as one of the most highly regarded personal injury lawyers in the Las Vegas area.

Where did the idea for The Law Office of Attorney Adam S. Kutner and Associates come from?

I had always wanted to go into private practice, and after working on the side of the insurance companies I quickly realized that I wanted to represent the people who were deserving of proper compensation. It has been a very rewarding experience to be able to help people during trying times in their lives.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

I spend a lot of time speaking with clients and going over case files. Every day is different, as I may be in court on one day and in a long negotiating session the next. On any given day, however, I make it a priority to speak to my clients no matter how busy I may be.

How do you bring ideas to life?

We have fostered a very creative environment here, and I welcome ideas from everybody in the office. We speak openly and honesty at all times, and I feel that is the key to ensuring that ideas are able to come to fruition and are not stifled somewhere along the way.

What’s one trend that really excites you?

I wouldn’t call it a trend, but I am always very pleased that people are able to recognize that proper compensation is warranted in personal injury cases.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

I am a tireless worker. It is as simple as that. I have always put forth as much effort as possible in everything that I have done, and that has been the key to my success. I just do my best to outwork everyone.

What was the worst job you ever had and what did you learn from it?

I am hesitant to call it the worst job I ever had, but I certainly knew that I did not want to be on the side of the insurance company when I first came to Las Vegas. I learned a great deal during my time representing the insurance companies and that experience really served as the impetus for the founding of The Law Office of Attorney Adam S. Kutner and Associates.

If you were to start again, what would you do differently?

I wouldn’t change anything. Every experience I have had in this journey has helped shape who I am today, and I am very happy with what I have been able to accomplish.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

I am always looking to challenge my own perspective. We have an exercise that we sometimes do in the office in which we take a position we oppose and try to defend it so that we can understand an opposing perspective. It can be really enlightening and it has proved to be a valuable exercise for us for a variety of reasons.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business? Please explain how.

We simply try to do the best for our clients in every single case. When our clients are satisfied with the end result, they are not shy about recommending us to others.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

I have been very fortunate that the law office has done very well and continues to thrive. I worked very hard to set up a very solid foundation from which to build, and the office has thrived as a result.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

I do not have a specific idea to give away, but I do believe that the best business ideas are the ones you are the most passionate about.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

I took a former client out to dinner a few weeks ago to see how he had been doing. It was nice to see that he was doing very well and I was very grateful that I was able to help represent him.

What software and web services do you use? What do you love about them?

Our website is incredibly easy to use and it allows our clients to efficiently access lots of relevant information very quickly. Other than that, we have a lot of systems that we use at the office to keep organized and to ensure that we are using our time efficiently.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

I read “Flourish” by Martin E. P. Seligman not too long ago, and it really confirmed for me something I was already aware of, that happiness is gained through achieving one’s own goals. It’s a good read and it certainly is helpful in a lot of ways.

What people have influenced your thinking and might be of interest to others?

My thinking has been greatly influenced by the people I work with. I would advise others to consider the people that are around them and find out what they have to offer, pick their brains and engage in meaningful discourse as often as possible. I think we sometimes underestimate the people who are already in our lives, and it is important to seek their insight as often as possible.
