Artem Martynyuk – CEO of SAFETY RESTORE INC.

Don’t waste your time on things that won’t benefit anyone but yourself.

Artem Martynyuk was born in 1993 in Korosten, Ukraine and immigrated to the U.S. in 1996 with his parents. As most Christians of the USSR-era, the Martynyuk family seeked religious freedom and came here on the refugee status. In the U.S. Artem’s family lived poorly, but worked hard. Government aid covered housing & food. A family of 6 in a small apartment for 10 years, but still ever thankful to be in the land of opportunity. When Artem was in school, he started dreaming of opening his own business. And he did at age 16 while in high school. His first business was a complete failure. Aituv – a wedding videography company. He learned a lot from his mistakes and did not give up there. He proceeded to self learn the different aspects of computer programming, pairing with some creativity he had and leaning towards graphic design, marketing and web development. Through such stage and experience, Artem began to market websites and open businesses. Some partnering, others from scratch.

He now owns a marketing agency online “Primar Marketing”, an automotive tech company “Safety Restore,” a luxury wedding cinematography company “Jenart Films” and is now leaning towards real estate. All these companies were fully started with marketing with Artem and his wife. They were all a result of marketing – the power of advertising. Once he’s learned the curve of where our future is headed, He was able to use that to apply it to any business idea He had and it was successful. He is ever thankful to God, his wife and his parents!

Where did the idea for SAFETY RESTORE INC. come from?

I received a phone call from a relative one day while working at Bank of America asking me if I’m interested to do marketing for his company! I agreed and after seeing the potential, I worked hard to make it thrive.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

Start every day with prayer. Extremely important. God gives me wisdom to notice things I usually wouldn’t and incorporate them into the daily routine of the business. This includes keeping up with the latest technology, online world and a solid relationship with my employees and customers.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I push myself. Actually that’s what everyone thinks, in reality it’s my wife that helps me just do it.

What’s one trend that excites you?

Keeping up with Google’s SEO algorithm. You never really know what it is, but you can guess and only hope you’re doing something right.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

Wake up early!

What advice would you give your younger self?

Don’t waste your time on things that won’t benefit anyone but yourself.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on?

College is a waste, but a great business.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

I think putting the so many ideas to life. You never stop. Regardless how many of them are complete failures, you just move on and keep trying.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business? Please explain how.

There really is no strategy. Every day and every situation is so different that so many times I look back and just think to myself “What was I thinking?” but then realize because of that mistake this happened, and now I’m here. I think putting my hope in God assures me that what I do on a daily basis is right.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

Hiring the wrong person. I fired him.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

Amazon doesn’t sell cars, neither does it have auction-based items. Why not make an exclusive car-auction website that gives access to buyers worldwide to purchase a car that is fair based on what the other bidder is paying?

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

The best money I’ve spent were the ones I donated. That’s something that has an impact on a person – whether it’s food, shoes or shelter, that’s better than anything you can buy for yourself.

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive? How do you use it?

Microsoft OneNote. Installed on every computer and every smartphone so every employee has access to daily operations of the business and makes you stay on top of what needs to be done today, this week and this month.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

The Bible. It has the answer to every question in life. Literally.

What is your favorite quote?

“IF YOU DON’T TAKE RISKS, YOU WILL ALWAYS WORK FOR SOMEONE WHO DOES”

Key learnings:

• There is nothing more valuable than time in life. Before you start learning, layout your priorities. To me it’s God, family and then everything else.
• Idea: If you have one, just go forward with it. If you have to share it with someone or get advice, forget about it because it’s probably worthless.
• Put others before yourself. You will learn the most about life by observing other people and their lives. Always be thankful!
• When you have such values prioritized, you are prone to win!
