Charlette Prevot is a co-founder and the Corporate Manager of 6Wunderkinder. She leads the corporate team and is in charge of finance, legal, human resources, accounting, event planning and reporting.
Prior to joining 6Wunderkinder, Charlette worked as a project manager for a public health insurance company. She also worked as the Design and Web Agency Project Manager at Innovatics GmbH. She is a graduate of FOM Berlin University with a BA in International Management. Her Bachelor’s thesis used 6Wunderkinder as a case study to demonstrate story telling as a marketing tool.
What are you working on right now?
I’m working closely with the rest of our team as we prepare for the launch of Wunderkit. I’m in charge of the legal aspects of the product, such as terms of use and the privacy policy. I’m also taking care of the Wunderkit payment process.
What does your typical day look like?
I spend the majority of my day checking and replying to emails. It’s not the most glamorous job, but it’s one of the most important tasks for keeping the 6Wunderkinder cogs turning. I also read and validate a lot of contracts, which is incredibly important for our business.
What is the worst job you ever had and what did you learn from it?
I would never classify any job I had in the past as bad. I always take positive experiences out of anything I’m involved with. I’ve learned a lot from past jobs.
3 trends that excite you?
Social networking (obviously), cloud computing and location-based services.
How do you bring ideas to life?
I usually converse with my partner and CEO of 6Wunderkinder, Christian. He is an incredible mentor and has the ability to inspire with only a few words. He helps me see through my ideas every time, and he always offers a creative spin.
What inspires you?
Put simply, my friends, family and colleagues. You could be the smartest person in the world and have the best product in the world, but it’s worth nothing without the love, devotion and motivation of those closest to you. I smile as I enter the office every day, knowing I’m building something great with the best people on the planet.
Where did you grow up and how did that influence who you are today?
I grew up in Berlin, the east to be precise. I’d say I’m very down to earth and level-headed, which comes in handy as our ideas become bigger, bolder and more radical. I always like to keep my feet firmly on the ground and cover all the exits.
What is one mistake you’ve made and what did you learn from it?
The biggest mistake I ever made was not forming a tech startup company sooner. No matter where you are in life (young or older), everyone has the potential to create something that can change the world. The quicker you start, the longer you’ll have to enjoy it.
What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?
It’s not really a new idea, but I’d like to emphasize how important it is for the longevity of a company and its income stream: think about the user. Build products that benefit them, not you, price reasonably, and always put yourself in their shoes when you question what could change or be different in your business.
What do you read every day and why?
I mainly read through my RSS feed. The tech sphere is accelerating at such as incredible pace that the world can flip upside down in a matter of minutes. I always have my RSS reader open and I check it regularly throughout the day.
What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?
I’m currently reading the Steve Jobs biography. Needless to say, it’s amazing. If you want an insight into the life of the world’s greatest CEO, pick up a copy.
What is your favorite gadget, app or piece of software that helps you every day?
Wunderlist, without a doubt! I couldn’t live without it. Also iOutbank is a great way to keep tabs on my finances.

When is the last time you laughed out loud? What caused it?
I laugh every single day. When you work with a team like I do, humor goes hand-in-hand with the work.
What does Wunderkit mean for the productivity market?
Wunderkit will redefine the productivity market. What we believe as task management, collaboration and team management will definitely be changed for the better.
After a long day at work, what do you do to relax?
I like to take care of my kitties, enjoy some tea and read a book. I like to clear my mind as much as possible and be ready for the next day.
