Where did the idea for Regus Advisors Inc come from?
Looking for a place for our advisory business and found Regus Executive Offices so we thought “why not” call it Regus Advisors? This allowed us to expand and retract exponentially as deal flow changes and to seed our satellite offices around the globe quickly and get people deployed on deals.
What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?
Every day begins with “possibilities” but every day ends with “results”. There is NO typical day as we have so much in motion, it’s about prioritizing what’s important – what’s relevant – what’s not. Then you mix in proper amount of love and compassion plus exercise and family,
How do you bring ideas to life?
In my sleep – sometimes these amazing discoveries pop up and I will wake up and make notes.
What’s one trend that really excites you?
Technology. It’s absolutely amazing – not only what’s here but what’s coming. “Driverless Cars”??
What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?
High Pain Tolerance — gotta have it – if you want to be “in the game”.
What was the worst job you ever had and what did you learn from it?
Shoveling Snow in Canada at (-15 below) for $5/driveway. Taught me better get Smart or get Strong.
If you were to start again, what would you do differently?
I’d be more patient and understand that being an entrepreneur is not a 100-yard sprint but a 26-mile marathon.
As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?
Get up and get dressed every day to PLAY TO WIN !!

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?
Got screwed on a Buy/Sell Deal and learned to get good legal counsel and docs.
What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?
Real Estate Business. Someone needs to figure out a BETTER way for transactions to get Bought/Sold without the traditional (3% Buy + 3% Sell) to get deals done. There has to be a more streamlined and more economic model.
What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?
Gave a very nice (but down on his luck) Waiter a $100 Tip. He deserved it – I was in tears on his story – he was proud.
What software and web services do you use? What do you love about them?
Microsoft XP & Google — super simple and works for me.
What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?
Trump: Art of the Deal — it is a classic and comes with great advice.
What people have influenced your thinking and might be of interest to others?
Steve Jobs – Great Guy and Mentor when I met him in 1980 I was in the Software Industry and was Founder of Company that built one of the original Software programs for the Apple II. I had no idea the vision of the future – as I was too young and did not take the time to LISTEN!!!!
