Where did the idea for re:iimmune come from?

As a Nurse Practitioner, I’ve seen and treated multiple types of people and illness. 12 years ago, I noticed a consistent pattern in my patients that made them struggle to recover. We are really good and diagnosing and treating, but not supporting the recovery process of patients. This lends to long drawn out recovery times, and sometimes produced another illness on top of what the patient was trying to recover from. After paying close attention to my patients combined with my medical knowledge, I began to believe that intestinal health and hydration were the key issues while recovering–70% of our immune system is in our gut, and your organs can’t fight off bad stuff if they are not fully hydrated. I also wanted to make sure it was a way to support the body to heal from the inside out. If we create the right conditions for the body, it will heal itself. That’s why recovery is so important.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

I’m a big believer in waking up early, and taking time for myself in the morning. After that I take care of my family, then get into work. Balance is important, so sometimes you have to get creative to get it in.

We have a give-back program called Get Well, Make Well. For every box of re:iimmune purchased, we donate a serving to non-profit global healthcare organizations. To date, we have donated 120,000. I wanted to close the gap in healthcare in the US and abroad, and this was a great way to do that. People feel good about helping others, and this is a simple way to do that.
