Where did the idea for Change Your Mindset Change Your Life come from?

Seven years ago, I was at the lowest point of my life. I had been living out of my car for two and a half years, was six figures in debt, my daughter disowned me for not being present in her life, and my girlfriend broke up with me because I couldn’t seem to get my life together. I didn’t care whether I lived or died. August 2011 at 3:43 am was the night everything changed. All my life, I’ve focused on what I don’t want, and that’s what I kept attracting. But this was the first night I focused on not only what I wanted, but how I wanted to feel. It was my moment of awakening. Crying and screaming at the top of my lungs, I yelled out, “I’m tired of fighting! I want to be happy, healthy, and surrounded by nothing but positive people! I just want to inspire people!” I knew I also wanted to make money, but I wanted that money to represent something that I passionately believe in. I needed a sign. A week later, I was at the gas station with my last $2, and a homeless man walked up to me asking me for money. I told him that he had more money than me, and he replied, “Change your mindset, change your life,” and walked away. It was in that moment, everything I knew in life had changed. I realized that my life was the way that it was because of how I was thinking. If I could change how I was thinking, then my life could change; and that’s precisely what happened.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

I start my day being charged up with life. I spend the first hour mediating, praying, eating healthy, dancing, singing and doing some form of exercise. All of that is my extreme me time that I like to call my “Panda Power Hour.” This has me overflowing and being at my highest self, and that momentum carries me throughout the entire day. I don’t really have a typical day because I am always focused on experiencing new adventures that keep me stimulated. As far as productivity goes, I start off by setting my daily goal. I write a list of things that I need to do so that I experience the momentum of winning, which includes:
– Three primary business milestones
– Three health and fitness goals
– Learn one new thing
– Create one new thing
– Do my best to find a problem I can solve
These activities somehow always seem to drive results.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I will typically ask a question in either prayer or out loud, and those questions are always answered when I am doing something I love, whether it be running, cycling, swimming, dancing or on my occasional morning walks. As soon as the idea hits me, I stop everything I’m doing and listen. Then I’ll write down whatever I feel in that moment in specific detail. I become hyper-aware of my surroundings, looking for signs on people’s shirts, being aware of the message in a song on the radio, the formation of a cloud, etc. I know all the signs are always around, I just make myself available enough to receive them.

What’s one trend that excites you?

Each day, do what you love that creates happiness within yourself. Create energy inside of you that people genuinely want to be around. Don’t let a day go by where you don’t have emotional content from happiness. The feeling is the secret. This is one way to increase the moral anywhere you go. And challenge ten others to do the same!

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

Not giving a damn about what anyone thinks of me makes me an overall happier and more productive entrepreneur.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Everything happens for a reason. Everything that you are going through is all on purpose and happens for a reason. If you get knocked down, get back up and keep moving forward. You can’t always see the full picture, but one day you will be able to make sense of your life and be able to connect the dots going backward. Trust me. I know from personal experience everything you need, everything you have been looking for is already inside of you.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

My stages of my life symbolize the names and chapters of The Bible. The good book was written in the part of the world where the language was based on symbolism. So if you read the book word for word, you can never truly get the essence of the word. As you gain a new level of awareness to your life, you will understand more. And when you go back and reread The Bible, it will become an entirely different book because you will see how your testimonies match up.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

Love no matter what.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

Create a vision that you’re driven by that inspires you to keep talking about it. Then connect with others to find out what they deeply want out of life and what their desires are. Connect with them 1:1. Enroll them in a group session, meeting or call so that we all share what our deep desires are and to why you are doing the business. This builds an organic bond like no other. Once you’ve established this bond, then talk about the vision, as you’re able to align their goals and desires to get an energetic buy-in. This creates the space for people to feel ownership in the whole, instead of something you came up with. Once you get past this phase, talk about strategies and all the extracurricular activities that come along with it. It doesn’t matter what the work is; when the team spirit and belief is there; it will always produce and drive results. “Flowers that grow in bunches grow much faster than flowers that grow by themselves.”

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

One of my biggest failures was thinking that success was only defined by money. Once I got the money, I still felt empty. Instead of just being successful, I chose to focus on overall life success. That’s when I realized that the same focus that made me successful in business was the same focus that I lacked, and was required to build a successful relationship with my daughter. I overcame it by making her a priority in my life and now our relationship is on fire like it’s never been before.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

Generosity Water. It is scientifically proven that the structure of water changes between bad energy and good energy. I came up with the concept of water that keeps on giving; Generosity Water. The packaging and bottles would be wrapped in positive affirmations. Those who purchase the water upon opening the package would instantly feel different about the water because of the words they read before they even take the first sip. When a consumer feels better about themselves when doing anything, they reflect those feeling outwardly. The ripple effect of reading a few simple but soul-powered words could change millions of lives.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

For the past five years, every single time I eat out, regardless of the price of the meal, my tip is always $100. Last week, I ordered sweet potato fries, totaling $4. I left $100 and didn’t stick around for the recognition. Somehow the waitress found me on Instagram, and it turns out she was going through a very dark time. She said a prayer asking for a change before going to work that day. She wanted to thank me for answering her prayer. On the receipt, I’d left my signature saying “You are Powerful… Change Your Mindset Change Your Life”

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive? How do you use it?

I recently started using Zoom Conferencing for 1:1 calls, mastermind calls, and group calls. It’s always amazing connecting when you can see someone’s face and their expression. I take every opportunity I can get to create that face-to-face 1:1 or group experience.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

The Power of Positive Thinking” by Vincent Norman Peale. I’ve read this book both paperback and audiobook over 200 times. Every single time I read it, good things started amplifying in my life. I have seen it work for thousands of others as well!
