Jacques Johnson – Teen Rapper

Jacques Johnson (Pronounced: (zhahk) is a native of metro Atlanta.  This teen is definitely not a “cookie cutter” artist.  He has always been an individual.  Upon meeting Jacques, you will see a young man who has the swag of a young LL Cool J and you will notice his very cool demeanor.   After holding a conversation with him you will soon see he is an entrepreneur and multi-talented.  He became a model at the age of five. He is an athlete who also loves all types of music but rap is his first love.  He mastered dancing by watching movies, he learned to play the viola and played in the orchestra, and he is a former member of the Atlanta Boy Choir (like his father).  In other words, whatever he puts his mind to he will accomplish it.  He has a strong admiration for artist and business men like Lil Wayne, Will Smith,  50 Cent, and Jay Z just to mention a few.  He admires them for their entrepreneurial abilities.

Jacques will quickly tell you that when he raps he feels like his words are an expression of something from deep within. He does not rap about things that he has no desire to achieve or wouldn’t want to experience.

Game Tite records signed Jacques and Lyvonte “Mazerati” Byrd of Game Tite was very impressed by his skills and his persona. When he is in the studio the coolness is out the window because an alter ego emerges. Jacques said his first single “Dat Be Me” is about confidence and knowing who you are in life.  Jacques Johnson II has established J Squared Entertainment.   He wanted to start being in charge of his future early.  Jacques is his client but he has contracted dancers, promoters and street teams.   You will be hearing more about this young man for a long time to come.

What are you working on right now?

My album.  “Jacques Johnson – My World”

Where did the idea for J Squared come from?

I wanted to be make sure my income, advances, expenses etc. were all managed properly, including my career.   Since my first and last name begin with “J” and I am the second, J Squared was obvious.

What does your typical day look like?

I am a sophomore in high school, so that comes first.  After school, I do homework, work on my music,  conference call with the team,  chat with fans, exercise and start over again the next day.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I love using metaphors.  My lyrics tend to bring my songs to life. I think music videos should show your performing abilities and tell a story.

What’s one trend that really excites you?

I like the fact that I see more genres of music crossing over to each other.  I see R&B singers with rappers, country music artists using R&B producers, etc.

What was the worst job you ever had and what did you learn from it?

I never had a real job other than helping my family at home.  The worst chore is cleaning the bathroom.

If you were to start again, what would you do differently?

Not a thing.
