Dr. Jagdeep Sibia, DMD, practices Cosmetic, Family & Implant Dentistry in West Hartford, CT, and the surrounding areas. She provides quality dentistry for all patient’s by staying current in the profession’s leading dental care procedures while utilizing modern technology, supplies and equipment.

Dr. Sibia is among the most accomplished and regarded general dentists in the United States. She was recognized by The National Consumer Advisory Board as one of “America’s Best Dentists” in 2017.

She is a proud alum of Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine where she received a DMD degree in 2012. Committed to ongoing education, Dr. Sibia continues to enroll in advanced training programs each year. She is also a standing member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Society, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Dr. Sibia is passionate about supporting several nonprofit organizations including American Red Cross and Khalsa Aid. In her spare time, you can find her watching football or cooking with her pet Shih Tzu at her feet.

How did you decide to become a dentist?

Dentistry is the perfect blend of art and science. It allows me to express my artistic side working with my hands to create beautiful smiles. I always wanted to make a difference in other peoples’ lives, and dentistry allows me to help people smile.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive? How do you bring ideas to life?

My typical workday starts at 8 am and doesn’t end until 6 pm. We have a great group of people working together as a team to make the day go by smoothly. Everyone knows their job well, and that makes us very sufficient.

What’s one trend that really excites you?

Increased use of digital resources. Dentistry has come a long way with advancements in technology. From digital radiographs to a paperless work environment and digital impressions. Technology is exciting especially when you employ it in your work environment.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive?

Being open to learning and acquiring new techniques and materials. Dentistry is a technology-driven field and as technology is continually changing and improving so is dentistry. Anything new on the market either enhances the work you do or the time it takes for you to get it done. I love to try anything new that can help me improve my dentistry.

What advice would you give your younger self?

The advice I’d like to give my younger self is that you can plan ahead but your plan will undoubtedly change when the time comes, so don’t sweat it. Just focus on one thing at a time.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

The best recent $100 I spent was on a massage to pamper myself, and it was worth every penny.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

I recommend our community to read “The Alchemist“. It’s a very powerful read. It teaches us the importance of listening to our hearts, following our dreams and the meaning of life itself.
