Jane Stoller

Being organized is fun once you get the right system for your lifestyle.

Jane Stoller is a Lifebizz Organizer, Author and University Instructor who found her passion in de-cluttering spaces, business processes and closets. The Structure Strategist loves to help companies and individuals get more organized.

Where did Jane’s organizing knack comes from? She believes it must be her Swiss roots. Jane’s love for organizing began when she was six years old: As a young girl she was often found happily lining up her cats by size, her stuffed animals by color, her books by publication date.

What makes Jane’s organizing approach unique is her holistic method. She starts redefining your office and continues at your home – or vice versa. The end results of her seminars, coaching and/or consultations? Reduced stress, increased happiness and productivity.

“Organizing is a lifestyle, that will help you conquering anything.” Jane strongly believes that custom-tailored organizing systems and routines will massively enhance your work and life. By now, she did not only convince numerous friends and her family but also various clients of this mantra.

Where did the idea for Organizing for Your Lifestyle come from?

‘Organizing for Your Lifestyle’ started as my passion for organizing and helping my friends and family which then turned into helping clients achieve their organizing goals.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

My typical day is organized! As I plan my tasks the night before and focus on my three top gals and no more than 7 tasks.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I originally started this business in 2006 but I was to scared and went back to my ‘safe’ corporate job a year later. It took me 10 years of self-discovery, courses, and reading books on business strategy, empowerment and spirituality to take ownership. I know my passion, experience, and ability to help my clients keeps me going everyday and brings my business to life.

What’s one trend that excites you?

That women are creating businesses out of their passions!

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

Continually learning from other gurus, for example Tim Ferriss.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Do not de-value my skills and not be afraid to market them.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on?

Being organized is fun once you get the right system for your lifestyle.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

Plan goals – weekly, monthly, and annually. I love going back years and seeing all the goals I have achieved.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

Sticking to my goals, working hard, and being organized.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

When I quit this business the first time because I was too scared. Self-discovery and learning that all entrepreneurs who are successful usually have to get unfordable or do something that scares them everyday!

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

An organizing robot to put things back in its place.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

Travel steamer – no more wrinkles ever!

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive? How do you use it?

Accounting is important for any business but can be time-consuming and of course can be outsourced. However I use NEAT for all my receipts so I can forward from my email or take a picture with my phone and discard the paper. I then send to Quickbooks and get a full snapshot of my business. All takes less than 5 minutes a day for me to have a financial snapshot. Plus no keeping paper receipts.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

You Are a Badass: How to stop doubting your greatness and start living an awesome life“. By Jen Sincero

For every minute spent organizing, an hour is earned
Benjamin Franklin
