I would get a mentor to avoid making costly mistakes. I would have also taken the time out to find myself through self-realization. This alone will help you take your business venture to the next level sooner than later.

Where did the idea for socialbiz.org come from?

I have always been fascinated with helping entrepreneurs succeed in business so I decided to use the skills I already had to do just that , I acquired the skill of social media marketing & management from selling over $1M worth of real estate online and building a brand for my real estate wholesale business, so I decided this would be the best skill to offer entrepreneurs since I had already mastered it.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

I am the CEO of the company, but I do not do a lot of hands-on work anymore seeing as though we now have social media, web design, and content specialist who now work for the firm. So my typical day is wake up at 8 A.M, shower, meditate , eat breakfast, check emails ( From The Home Office ) , ill be finish with this at about 11am , for the rest of the day I’m usually handling customer service issues and working on new marketing or existing marketing plans , my day ends at 7 pm every day I then meditate and study my self-realization notes because I do believe that knowledge of self is the key to everything in life so I take time to study this every day.

How do you bring ideas to life?

Honestly it’s a pretty simple process to me, I think it, write a realistic plan to execute, then I put the plan in motion I start where I am at, with what I have even if I do not have all the tools to complete the plan, I start. And that’s the key; to start where you stand and work and live in the moment.

What’s one trend that really excites you?

Inbound marketing is the biggest trend that excites me it’s a shift being made in the way customers buy and this is exciting for our company to be in on this.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

You may hear this in other answers of mine also but I can’t stress enough how important living in the moment is to your quality of work and how productive you are, you and I get more done when our mind is not wandering off to the future or the past but is focused in the here and now. So the one habit would have to be staying present in the moment.

What was the worst job you ever had and what did you learn from it?

I’ve only had one real job in my life and that was baking for Tim Hortons after I dropped out of High School to pursue my GED ,it was the worst job for me because I just hated working period, it wasn’t long before I quit to start my own tow truck business & I have been an entrepreneur ever since.

If you were to start again, what would you do differently?

I would get a mentor to avoid making costly mistakes. I would have also taken the time out to find myself through self-realization. This alone will help you take your business venture to the next level sooner than later.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

The one thing I do over and over is read, I recommend that every entrepreneur read and stay educated on their industry & Self you should be a human encyclopedia for your industry over time , this is the information age all buyers wants information before they purchase its part of the new buyers journey.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business? Please explain how.

I would say partnerships and delighting customers. I establish partnerships by reaching out to businesses that have the same prospects as I do I then offer these businesses a discount (With a special code ) that they can pass along to there customers, this strategy allows the business owner to be more valuable to there customer by offering them a discount on a service that they will need eventually , and I in turn gain a new customer this scenario is a Win-Win-Win for everyone . As for the delighting customers well this is apart of our entire sells process we are sure to go over an beyond with customer service, and with our initial services. Our philosophy is that a delighted customer will become a walking ambassador for your company as they will tell everyone they know who needs your services to come shop with you, and this has been working for us dramatically.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

Not doing enough research before starting a marketing strategy ( This cost me A LOT of money ) , I overcame this by becoming a marketing expert , and studying everything up to date and current on marketing trends, tips , and tricks, I now do research before starting and putting one single dollar into a marketing campaign.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

I tell all young aspiring entrepreneurs to pick a service any service that people will need on a on going basis and broker it meaning become the middle man and collect a fee for connecting buyer to seller and vice versa this is a low cost startup that can bring in unlimited amounts of money on a residual basis if you pick the right service

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

Great question I would have to say on books , I buy a lot of books I may spend $100 / month on books and most of these I buy from kindle for $10 or less so that adds up to about 10 books per month. Books are important to me being a self-made, self-educated entrepreneur I would say I owe part of my success if not all to reading good books.

What software and web services do you use? What do you love about them?

Honestly right now the only software I use is craigslist software and I use this to collect leads for our business, we use real people for all of our social media & web design services I find that this helps our business to be more personal and hands on with our family / clients which they love!

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

I recommend your community to read “The Instant Millionaire” By Mark Fisher because it is a game changer and will inspire any entrepreneur to take action, and will teach them how to not only get the money but to keep it, be genuinely happy, and pay if forward . If I can add one more book I would say read “ The Alchemist” By Paulo Coelho it’s a novel and a life changing book pick it up asap!

What people have influenced your thinking and might be of interest to others?

Wow This is a good one I would have to say Eckhart Tolle twitter.com/EckhartTolle he influenced me a lot and help me understand the power of living in the moment and letting that pour over onto my life work I think anyone who wants to be successful and live a balanced life should really pick up his book called “A New Earth” . Second I would have to Say Dame Dash ex-owner of Rockerfella Records he is influential to me because of his work ethic and ability to come from nothing and build up a $300M dollar empire and make other men multi millionaires in the process, he has also kept to the roots of being a real self-made millionaire using his own money for startups which I think is required to get the feel for being a real entrepreneur; because as an entrepreneur risk is something you’re going to have to get use to.
