Where did the idea for LMF Consulting Group come from?

LMF Consulting Group came from a place of need. I realized that most companies suck at marketing and I could help them. The companies that needed the help thought that slapping up random photos on Social Media were a guaranteed way of getting business. Clearly, they needed me.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

A typical day for me is usually made up of client check-ins, team check-ins, lead generation and sharing knowledge. I make it productive by working in 4 hour time blocks. I get more done in a day now with this system.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I bring ideas to life by trying them out on myself. If I can make it work for me, I can make it work for anyone.

What’s one trend that excites you?

Video! I love being able to see and hear the people behind the brand. It adds a human element that has been lacking for quite some time.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

Sleep! Subscribing to the “hustle, hustle, sleep when you die” mentality has NEVER worked for me. If I am not rested, things do NOT go well.

What advice would you give your younger self?

“Start that damn business while you are in high school”. Being able to make things happen have nothing to do with age, just drive, ambition and skill.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

Tequila is a proper breakfast item.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

Implementation is key. It doesn’t matter how good or bad an idea is, if you never implement anything, the idea is useless. Implementation also separates the dreamers from the doers.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

Showing up consistently has helped me grow my business. By showing up and sharing my knowledge, I have increased my business by leaps and bounds, and without having to take out a large loan to do so.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

We lost all of our clients at once, without having any on a waitlist. We had gotten so caught up with just serving the current base that we forgot to actually make sure we had a pipeline built up. It made us rethink our strategy and process.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

If you can create PLR that is fresh and consistent, you will NEVER be without business.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

I spent about $100 on natural hair care products. I spent that much because I hate running out of things that actually work for my hair. Investing the $100 now will save me about $200 over the next 6 months.

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive? How do you use it?

Gsuite. It is the best thing since sliced bread. I can integrate all of my tools together, manage accounts and get the right notifications all the time. No more back and forth.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

I’M JUDGING YOU: The Do-Better Manual” by Luvvie Ajayi. While it’s not a business book per se, it shows you how people think, how to be polarizing in the RIGHT way and how to understand human psychology, all of which are important as business owners to understand.

What is your favorite quote?

Look at people for an example, but then make sure to do things your way. Surround yourself with positive people.”- Queen Latifah. By remembering that people are still human at the end of the day, you can look at them as examples but not as a blueprint. It is so important to put your own spin on your own life at all times.
