Steve Franzmann – President of Neometrx

It takes time, dedication and thick skin to be successful.

Steven A. Franzmann is the founder of Neometrx, Inc. Prior to founding Neometrx in 2012, Mr. Franzmann was the founder, President and CEO of Vale Enterprises, Inc., a Colorado based manufacturer of internal cleansing and detoxification products. Known as a pioneer in the field of detoxification, Steve created Vale in 1991 with the idea of providing consumers with safe and healthy supplements that would quickly eliminate toxins from the body. Creating a niche market that today has grown into a $100 million dollar industry. The long-term, overwhelming success of Vale’s products is a testament to their safety and effectiveness.

Feeling like he needed a change and that he had taken Vale to its full potential; he resigned his position and sold his interest in Vale and soon after founded Neometrx. Having the knowledge and resources to sell a vast array of herbal supplements, Steve again decided to concentrate on the most important aspect of health and wellbeing, total body detoxification.

“The essence of total health encompasses the mind, body and spirit. To maintain or achieve total health one must practice a healthy lifestyle that constantly revolves around detoxification. We wash our clothes, our bedding, our cars, etc…. yet the practice of cleansing our body seems almost non-existent. Only when plagued with serious or chronic health problems do people seem to pay closer attention to the need to clean and stay clean”.

Steve has devoted the last 25 years to helping people lead a healthier more productive life. “By visiting our website, you will not only educate yourself on the importance of total body detoxification, you will also have the opportunity to purchase products that have been formulated specifically to help one regain a renewed sense of health and vitality”.

Having engaged and consulted with some of the nation’s foremost experts on integrative medicine and Naturopathic treatments, you can rest assured that the principles and techniques are the unsurpassed in the field of wellness.

Steve’s attention to detail and demand for the highest quality ingredients combined with superior manufacturing has again put him at the top of detoxification, something he has dedicated his life to perfecting.

Where did the idea for Neometrx come from?

As the owner of multiple retail shops back in the 70s and 80s I would get a lot of people coming in and asking for body cleansing tips and asking if there were any products on the market that would eliminate toxins quickly. I realized there was a lot of frustration on the part of my customers and a high demand for a product that would detoxify the body in about an hour or so. Hence, Pure Detox cleansing drinks were born.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

I spend most of my time working on ways to better formulate Pure Detox’s herbal detox supplements. I also spend a great deal of time reaching out to our retailers and end users. This allows me to keep my finger on the pulse of the industry and adjust our marketing accordingly. It’s definitely a full time job.

How do you bring ideas to life?

It’s a mix of input from our retailers, our end users, very talented and creative people in our graphics department, formulators, doctors, marketing and advertising people. It takes a lot to produce and market high quality supplements and detox products.

What’s one trend that really excites you?

It’s really exciting to see so many people getting healthy, taking care of themselves and living positive lives. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get a buzz from walking into the thousands of retail outlets and seeing Pure Detox drinks on the shelves.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

Staying on top of cutting edge science and the professional movers and shakers that keep it all moving forward. People want the best, most effective total body cleansing supplements they can get so it’s vital to stay on top of what’s going on in the industry. I want my products to be the very best you can buy, quality is everything.

What was the worst job you ever had and what did you learn from it?

I delivered The Rocky Mountain News from the age of 8 until I graduated from high school. Living in Colorado meant I spent countless days freezing my ass off to get the job done. I developed a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed and to provide excellent service to my customers. It was tough getting up at 4:30am every morning when I was just a kid. Delivering my paper route on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, Easter, rain or shine was not any fun at all but you get used to it. The payoff was when I was 16 years old and I bought a brand new Pontiac Firebird with cash.

If you were to start again, what would you do differently?

Had I known the detox industry was going to be so successful and lasted such a long time I would have introduced more brands to the market. In addition to Pure Detox, would have had at least 30 other detox product brands all competing with each other. That would have pretty much locked out the competition. Of course every businessman would love to have a crystal ball.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

Never stop, don’t give up on your dreams. You have to think you can outwork and outsmart your competitors. When I take a day off I think about what my competitors did to improve their business while I was relaxing and I work even harder the next day to make it up. Anything worth doing is a risk. It takes time, dedication and thick skin to be successful.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

Forward thinking, always looking ahead. It’s so important to know the trends and changes within your industry. Business is very dynamic; nothing stays the same for long.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

I haven’t had any major failures per say, just regrets about ideas and things I wish I had done. When you work for yourself sometimes you get tunnel vision and you need to step back, take a break and have a hard look at the big picture. Surround yourself with people who are smarter than you and listen to what they have to say.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

I’ve always liked cars. I would try to figure out a way to make big money dealing in classic cars. Buying, selling, restoring. It would take a big investment initially but done right it could prove to be very lucrative. Classic cars just seem to going up and up and up in value.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

A dozen roses for my lovely wife… when she’s happy my life is so much easier.

What software and web services do you use? What do you love about them?

I leave technology to those that best understand it. Damon Burton is an internet marketing consultant that I use and I leave software and web services to the hands of his excellent team of internet dudes.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

Politics aside, the Art of the Deal by Donald Trump is a must read for anyone serious about succeeding in business.

What people have influenced your thinking and might be of interest to others?

I have to admit that I don’t look to successful people in the news. I got the best advice and my work ethic from my father. My dad was the hardest working man I’ve ever known. He worked 7 days a week for over 30 years to provide for his family. His dedication and tenacious work ethic had a profound effect on me. His advice has helped to make me who I am today. I have one last thing to say. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Find someone who is doing well and do what they did,
