Where did the idea for your career come from?

I chose Plastic Surgery after a year working in Emergency Medicine, and my performance drew the attention of two Plastic Surgeons in Private Practice in New York. They trusted me with all of the facial trauma patients, and indicated to me that I had the gift required to pursue Plastic Surgery. The idea for Celebrities Choice Cosmetic Surgery is based on the fact that our Practice attracted many Celebrities and high achievers, that I believe could be an inspiration to us all.

I believe each of us can be a celebrity in our own life. Celebrity status is conferred upon those of us who achieve a level of existence that matches our potential.  Every human has at least one gift and one passion. When the gifts meet the passion, we have life. The pursuit of those dreams and our passions requires choices; these are the celebrity’s choices.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

My typical day begins with a one hour workout in the morning, followed by either a clinic day or a surgery day. Clinic days our consultations for new patients or post follow-up visits. This is my opportunity to meet new people, help them formulate new goals for themselves – physically – and on surgery days we implement those plans and bring them to fruition.

How do you bring ideas to life?

Bringing ideas to life requires thoughtful alone time. Knowledge, experience, skill training and talent are essential to bringing new ideas to life. This is the essence of vision.

Personally, I bring ideas to life upon meeting the patient for the very first time. As the patient shares with me their goals, including sharing with me their “wish pics” – either celebrity photos or photos from our gallery – I then begin to formulate the vision for the result. This continues during the physical examination, taking into account all of the anatomic strength and limitations of this particular patient. That vision is then brought to life on the day of surgery.

What’s one trend that excites you?

The trend for most of our female patients when it comes to the enhancement of their noses is that they all desire smaller, more refined, elegant results within the limitations of their anatomy. We then bring their desires to life during surgery. For females – the elegance is defined by a slight differential between the tip and the dorsum. For males – it’s straight and strong. The fine result should be harmonious and balanced within the existing features of their face.

The most profound trend amongst our Practice has been the continuous recognition for creating the most elegant and refined results in Rhinoplasty, which is the most challenging and demanding procedure for Plastic Surgeons. We’ve managed to become famous for it.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

One habit that is essential to increase productiveness as an entrepreneur is attention to detail.

What advice would you give your younger self?

One bit of advice to my younger self would be to seek wise counsel more often.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

In my opinion, the best results in Rhinoplasty are achieved through closed technique. The majority of all Plastic Surgeons today believe in the open technique – which I oppose, because there is no reason for a patient to have a visible scar across columella, and to endure the prolonged swelling resolution. In the right hands, closed technique should be preferred.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

As an entrepreneur, numbers analysis is essential and must be reviewed over and over – you get what you measure.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

One strategy that helped me successfully grow my practice was to completely and thoroughly engage in each patient’s persona. I try to completely understand their mindset, their motivation, and especially their feelings.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

My greatest failure as an entrepreneur was to trust someone who was untrustworthy. I overcame it by accepting the relationship and deciding I had to move on.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive?

I think search engine is invaluable to keep all of us in touch with the world around us. It’s just amazing how much information we have at our fingertips. I personally utilize Dragon software in order to dictate my notations, emails and for all important documents.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

Aside from the Bible, the pamphlet by Thomas Paine – – Common Sense – – is essential reading because it is the foundation to understand  the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.
