Tonja Demoff

Evaluate behaviors, sales skills, knowledge, style, strengths, weaknesses…. evaluate, evaluate, evaluate.

Tonja Demoff knows what it’s like to work her way to the top, fall back to the bottom, and work her way back up again. As a seasoned military member, accomplished real estate entrepreneur, and acclaimed motivational speaker, she uses the ups and downs she’s handled to help other people navigate their lives.

Tonja created Virtual Consulting Group to be the ultimate online resource for those dealing in real estate, both realtors and consumers. She envisioned a place where professionals and those in need of information could turn to in search of answers, advice, and connections. There is also training available to those looking to enhance their skills and better themselves as professionals and individuals.

Through Virtual Consulting, Tonja Demoff has developed five principles that she uses to help guide others along their professional journeys and throughout life: Fresh Start, Resilient Millionaire, Twist & Trust, Core Wealth, and The Entrepreneur’s Edge. Though each of these principles, she helps others harness their inner strengths and channel them to work towards success.

Fresh Starts: Everybody makes mistakes in life, but it’s how we collect ourselves and move on from those mistakes that counts. While it’s important to learn from your mistakes and use them as opportunities for growth, it’s also important to let yourself shed past mistakes and grow without letting them overshadow you. Fresh Starts discusses the importance of letting yourself start fresh.

Resilient Millionaire: One of the most important traits that we possess as humans is resilience. It’s our ability to pick ourselves back up when things go wrong and keep moving and fighting forward. Tonja Demoff uses Resilient Millionaire to help people understand the importance of harnessing your inner resilience.

Twist & Trust: Life is full of twists and turns that can lead us far away from where we originally thought we’d end up. Rather than fighting every curveball life throws at you, learn how to roll with the changes and trust yourself and the process.

Core Wealth: Our core sense of worth is one of the biggest drivers that helps us move towards success and build wealth. As a result, before we can find success in our outward lives, we must first work on ourselves and develop our core wealth. Once we have a strong sense of self, we can use that to guide and inform our decisions in the future. After dealing with numerous obstacles in life, Tonja Demoff has learned to trust her gut and follow her intuition through her strong sense of core wealth.

The Entrepreneur’s Edge: Entrepreneurship is so much more than just a nine-to-five job; it’s a lifestyle that requires planning, preparation, and dedication. Through Entrepreneur’s Edge, Tonja Demoff helps budding entrepreneurs get started and make their own way within today’s fast-paced business world while finding the “edge” that places them a cut above the rest.

The way she sees it, Tonja didn’t become an entrepreneur but rather always was one; it wasn’t until she was tried and tested and learned to take the right steps that her entrepreneurial talents were able to flourish. In founding Virtual Consulting Group, Tonja was looking for a way to use the mistakes she’s made and the lessons she’s learned in life to help others avoid the same pitfalls.

Where did the idea for Virtual Consulting Group come from?

It was actually quite practical because in today’s internet savvy world real estate doesn’t have to be face to face. In many cases professionals never meet each other in any way other than “virtually”. We provide a service that is virtual and our services can be available on a worldwide campus.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

There is no “typical” day, which is what I love about real estate. The consistency that I bring to my productivity is in the minutia of returning phone calls, sorting estimates, researching values, markets or any other request by a client.

How do you bring ideas to life?

They come to life on their own… passion breeds action, be passionate and action will follow.

What’s one trend that excites you?

I’m excited to see where “bitcoin” goes in terms of real estate sales and purchases.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

Discipline to complete the things that matter first, you must do what makes you money first NOT last. Sometimes putting off the “organizing” is a must. Easy to organize, harder to prospect.

What advice would you give your younger self?

I’d say be a cautious risk taker, because age comes quickly…

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

I can’t begin to tell you what is true or not true, especially as it pertains to others viewpoints. I can tell you that I do and have always believed that truth is not a “fact”, each person has developed beliefs that filter their way of seeing truth.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

Evaluate behaviors, sales skills, knowledge, style, strengths, weaknesses…. evaluate, evaluate, evaluate.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

Tenacity… don’t give up, go after what you want and take the necessary steps to get there.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

I failed in my interactions with business partners. I overcame it by deciding based on my personal style that not having partners is my greatest good… so I eliminated partnerships.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

Consulting fee. I needed a broader, unbiased opinion about my perspective.

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive? How do you use it?

My yellow pad is the best “software” I use (not a software but it’s my most productive tool)

What is your favorite quote?

I don’t have a favorite quote. I love quotes and read several every day; I could never narrow this down.
