What is your typical day, and how do you make it productive?
My day starts with waking up and doing a short and simple morning routine, I don’t like overly complicated morning routines as I prefer to do what I need to maintain holistic health but also get right into my work.
I wake up and drink warm water with lemon and take my morning supplements, then I like to sit in the sun and look through my laptop as I look through my businesses to ensure everything is going well and answer questions from anyone who has asked over night.
I then write read over my prior night’s list of top tasks and action items and add any more I can think of. Then I do any immediate tasks I need to do before leaving for the gym where I do mobility and strength exercises. When I get back home I eat a big whole-food meal and then get stuck into my work from my office at home.
I work the majority of the day to get done what I need to get done, and go through all my tasks. I ensure all my tasks are completed. Then if I need to do extra work to get ahead and win the day further I do so.
My days are pretty relaxed as I determine how much I want to work or if I want to spend the day out in nature or with friends. But I typically work in sprints, so I will work non-stop on some days getting as much work as I can get done and maintaining a healthy routine, and then other periods I do shorter and more flexible workdays
How do you bring ideas to life?
I like to focus and work through my ideas and expand upon them making a broad overview plan. I have a quote or metaphor I like to say to myself which is “I just need to project the high beams toward my goals and ideas and understand the landscape ahead, although I need to know that the path forward won’t be as clear as I initially plan it.”
This allows me to project my ideas forward toward my goals but not be so strict with a plan that I’m unable to be flexible and adapt as the ideas plan out.
I like to work hard with a pen and paper or my laptop brainstorming my ideas, plans, and action items to allow my brain to expand upon the way I’m thinking about a plan or idea, and then once I start to get frustrated or tired, I’ll rest and go for a walk, listen to music, and let my mind relax and think. Working in these long brainstorming stints and then relaxing I believe allows serendipity to occur as my mind is working in the
background towards ideas but then gets alternative inputs, which allows me to have a different perspective.
What’s one trend that excites you?
Although AI is the main priority of my business focus, I am excited by the trend of the world becoming a more conscious place. Although it seems somewhat contradictory and conflicting as AI is a trend that can lead humanity down a dark road. The idea of people becoming more consciously aware of their life, spiritually mentally, and through holistic health is one that I’m excited. And in general, people becoming more aware of their lives and the impact their choices make not only on themselves but also on others.
What is one habit that helps you be productive?
Writing a to-do list on a piece of paper or a Word document on my laptop. I believe that in order to be “Productive” you just need to do what you know you need to do, and the fastest easiest way to be productive is just simply to write down your action items in order or highest priority and make sure they get done.
I believe being productive is to be simple and ensure you win the day, winning each day consecutively through doing what needs to get done is the fastest way to compounding growth, overly elaborate to-do lists or productivity routines only convolute the goal of progress, simplicity scales.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Write down what the highest version of yourself is like, what are their thoughts, what do they look like, what are their habits and what are their actions? Who are they as a person?
Write this list down and then align all your habits, thoughts, and actions towards that version of yourself as though you are becoming them and you WILL become that version of yourself. Tell yourself “everything you have achieved is inevitable everything you will achieve is aligned for you to take”.
You need to believe you can become the highest version of yourself. And once you believe it, then all that is required is to act as though you are becoming that version of yourself, do what that version of yourself does each day and it will be.
Also, understand that your perspective is what makes you who you are and what life you will live. This is the most important information you can understand. Begin learning about your own mind and consciousness, and read books on self-development to expand your awareness. Your mind is your greatest tool and asset.
Tell us something you believe almost nobody agrees with you.
Nobody is coming to save you. You need to align your thoughts actions, and beliefs towards your highest outcome as who you are, what you learn, and who you become is all you have in this world.
Nobody is coming to save you. You need to save yourself.
What is the one thing you repeatedly do and recommend everyone else do?
Only affirm positively about yourself and have positive self-talk no matter what. Too many people speak to themselves either out loud or in their own mind negatively about themselves.
You need to re-enforce positive mental frameworks. And it begins with how you think and talk about yourself.
When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, what do you do?
When I feel overwhelmed or unfocused, I take time away from my work or whatever the situation is, and relax and let my mind calm down. If you work yourself up over a task or issue, you won’t be thinking clearly and it will spiral out of control.
I like to just completely unplug and depending on what the issue I’m overwhelmed is, I will relax on my couch listen to music, go for a drive while listening to music, or even just watch Netflix or interesting TV shows or movies where the characters have certain traits so I even gain new insights from rather than reality style TV shows.
What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business or advance in your career?
The biggest piece of advice is understanding how to “learn” and the phases of growth, understanding at the start you won’t always succeed and failure is the price of admission to becoming successful. Tell yourself and reframe this in your mind! “Failure is a stepping stone to success” This is the greatest piece of advice I
have ever told myself. This allows me to always be “failing forward”.
This and also “Don’t wish it was easier, wish you were better” allowed me to realise that the only thing standing between me and my goals is me and myself. Rather than blaming things externally, taking responsibility for myself to achieve what I want is the only strategy I truly need. Everything else besides mindset is just about effective actions toward my goals in business.
What is one failure in your career, how did you overcome it, and what lessons did you take away from it?
There have been times in my business when ideas failed and projects collapsed. But I never put too much thought into them. Even though they failed and I lost money sometimes a lot, I always learned something. Many times through the process of failing I have learned many many new skills which ultimately lead me to who I am and be able to operate at a higher level on my future projects.
I realise through failure that I am always learning and that failure is going to happen so being able to be resilient, take the lesson that needed to be learned, and move on with a new better mindset and more skills is the key. Dwelling on failures will only lead to more negative self-talk and more failures.
What is one piece of software that helps you be productive? How do you use it?
iPhone notepad. Keep it simple. Write down your thoughts. Write down your ideas and action items!
What is the best $100 you recently spent?
The best $100 I’ve spent recently was a phone holder for my car. This has allowed me to be able to easily listen to podcasts while I drive so I can learn more while driving rather than listening to music.
Do you have a favorite book or podcast from which you’ve received much value?
I highly recommend ‘Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill for its timeless principles that have personally transformed my mindset towards success. The book’s emphasis on positive thinking and actionable advice resonates with me, providing practical strategies for achieving my goals. As an entrepreneur, I draw inspiration from motivational stories and case studies, finding tangible steps to navigate the challenges of my journey. Embracing the Law of Attraction, I believe in the book’s positive influence, shaping my thoughts and beliefs to attract success. In essence, my recommendation is rooted in the conviction that “Think and Grow Rich” is a valuable guide, offering insights crucial for both my business and personal development.
What’s a movie or series you recently enjoyed and why?
I like “The Walking Dead” for several reasons. The character development in a post-apocalyptic setting makes the individuals relatable and complex. The survival themes, coupled with moral dilemmas and intricate relationships, speak to my fascination with narratives delving into the human condition. What truly captivates me is the emphasis on adaptability, discipline, and quick thinking — the constant need for a high level of awareness in the face of unpredictable challenges. The show’s unpredictable plot twists and long-term story arcs not only entertain but also build a mindset centered around resilience and strategic thinking.
