What is your typical day, and how do you make it productive?

I begin each day with a proactive approach, having established a prioritized action plan the evening prior to minimize distractions. I align my workload with my natural energy cycles—completing critical, high-impact tasks during peak hours, managing smaller tasks midday, and utilizing the afternoon for review and preparation. This structured approach, supported by intentional breaks, ensures consistent focus and productivity.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I bring visions to life by formulating tailored, actionable strategies and taking ownership of the execution process to deliver consistent, high-quality results.

What’s one trend that excites you?

A highly compelling trend is the blending of AI-driven, green energy solutions with lean construction methodologies. This combination enhances resource management and reduces carbon footprints, promising to transform the industry through superior, sustainable, and structurally optimized environments.

What is one habit that helps you be productive?

I boost my efficiency by making sure I never leave loose ends. I focus on fully wrapping up projects and documenting progress, which keeps my mind clear and eliminates the need to constantly check in on pending items.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Cultivate an unwavering work ethic driven by integrity and purpose, as consistency in both effort and ethical decision-making is the ultimate foundation for long-term success.

Tell us something you believe that almost nobody agrees with you on.

I believe that pineapple belongs on pizza, and it is superior to pepperoni.

What is the one thing you repeatedly do and recommend everyone else do?

I highly encourage everyone to take proactive ownership of their respective business functions and uphold a high standard of personal accountability.

When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, what do you do?

Recognizing the impact of a demanding schedule on cognitive function, I prioritize restorative pauses when I feel overextended. By engaging in brief periods of immersion in natural surroundings, I find that I can effectively ground my thoughts, reducing feelings of fatigue and returning to complex projects with renewed focus and a refreshed perspective

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business or advance in your career?

By adopting a “less is more” model, I have intentionally shifted from high-volume, generic projects to a curated, client-centric strategy. This approach has driven significant business growth, allowing us to deliver superior results with a leaner team by fostering deeper relationships with fewer, high-value clients.

What is one failure in your career, how did you overcome it, and what lessons did you take away from it?

Acknowledged a critical shortcoming in my past hiring practices regarding the delayed identification of toxic behaviors. This experience served as a turning point to implement stricter behavioral screening, comprehensive reference checks, and a deeper assessment of cultural contribution, resulting in increased team cohesion and higher retention rates.

What is one business idea you’re willing to give away to our readers?

A great idea that I’ve long had is a local food logistics network. This would help small ranchers sell directly to local restaurants and families, cutting out expensive middlemen. By using a shared digital platform or a local “food hub,” this system solves the problem of high shipping costs and fragmented delivery, making it easier for small farmers to get their products to consumers and for consumers to get higher quality and lower priced, locally grown food.

What is one piece of software that helps you be productive? How do you use it?

Bluebeam is a great tool I utilized regularly in my line of work. I use Bluebeam primarily to transform complex, multipage construction documents into actionable, intelligent digital files. Bluebeam Revu is a comprehensive, industry-standard digital document management and markup solution specifically designed for construction professionals.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

The most valuable $100 I’ve recently spent was investing in a dedicated evening out with my wife.

Do you have a favorite book or podcast you’ve gotten a ton of value from and why?

Mel Robbins’ “The Let Them Theory” is a great book for building emotional strength and taking back personal control. It offers a practical framework to stop trying to control others, shifting focus toward internal peace and personal growth.

What’s a movie or series you recently enjoyed and why?

“The Sopranos” is undoubtedly my favorite TV show, mainly because it is a foundational masterpiece of modern serialized drama. David Chase took the gangster genre to new heights, blending raw, authentic crime stories with a deep, darkly humorous psychological study of Tony Soprano.
