What is your typical day, and how do you make it productive?

My typical day starts with exercise. I jog with my dog, Henry, for a minimum of 1.5 miles up to 3 miles. Getting cardio in the morning makes the start of the day go in a positive direction. After exercising, I head to the hospital for work. Being organized, prepared, and ready makes for a productive day and week.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I bring ideas to life by using my imagination and picturing what I want. I can see the end goal, and it’s as if the idea is already alive: whether that’s a career idea, a fitness goal, or a new design for my home.

What’s one trend that excites you?

Anything involved with exercise and weight training is something I want to try. I love the cold plunge, mostly the after-affect, not so much the plunge. Anything involved with nutrition, recipes, and new supplements is always something I enjoy trying to help give advice to my clients.

What is one habit that helps you be productive?

Being prepared for the next day, whether that means food prepping, getting my gym clothes ready, preparing the kids’ lunches, planning dinner for the week, and having the vision of how the day or week is going. I like to write down what my plans and goals are for the week and visibly erasing or crossing them out as I finish so it shows my accomplishments.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Advice I would give my younger self is that this too shall pass. Don’t worry about things you can’t control. Try to live in every moment, enjoy your loved ones, and cherish every experience as if it was your last. You will never get this time back. Be kind and help others. Love yourself and put God first. All else will work itself out the way it was meant to be.

Tell us something you believe almost nobody agrees with you on?

I believe all people have the ability to change for the better no matter what their circumstances are.

What is the one thing you repeatedly do and recommend everyone else do?

I get enough sleep and water. Sleeping 8 hours per day is vital for me. Also I advise everyone to move and exercise. No matter your circumstances, you can move a part of your body to get exercise. You were given this one body, cherish it, take care of it, and use it. It’s not a given that you will be able to use it forever.

When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, what do you do?

I usually call a friend, my mom, hug my children, or I go for a run.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business or advance in your career?

Having work experience in different areas of nutrition has helped me grow my business and help clients. Also obtaining education and experience from my colleagues, doctors, and nurse practitioners on how they grew their business helped immensely. I enjoy shadowing and listening to successful practitioners on what they did to get where they are.

What is one failure in your career, how did you overcome it, and what lessons did you take away from it?

I attempted to start my nutrition business 10 years ago with high expectations, but it did not prosper at that time. Looking back, I was not ready. I always knew my goals and was excited to help people, but where I fell short was knowing about business and marketing. Over the last 10 years, the dream was always there and I was able to study, learn more, and spend time with like-minded individuals, which helped me to be where I am at now in my career.

What is one business idea you’re willing to give away to our readers?

I do not recommend trends, supplements, or information unless I have tried them out on myself. I am honest if I am not sure about the effects, but continue to use something or do something because of the placebo effect. I try to give real-world advice and let clients decide if it’s worth a try.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

The best $100 I spent was on two supplements, Liposomal Glutathione and Liposomal NAD+.
