Breanna is the Director and Founder of Match Right Matchmaking. Match Right is taking over modern-day dating by helping individuals step away from technology, and get back to what dating is supposed to be about; intimacy. What’s even more impactful than their success rate, is their attention to detail and due diligence. Not only is their vetting process unheard of in this industry, but Match Right took the time to create an AI matching system that supports the team’s matchmaking processes, per client preference.

Having spent years in the matchmaking world, Breanna and her team developed incredible skills of empathy and understanding that allow them to truly delve into the needs and desires of their clients and help find the perfect match for each of them. The insight and knowledge developed over the years have allowed Match Right and its team to create a system that keeps the positives while combating the negative aspects of dating in this day and age; such as scams, catfishing, lies, modified dating profiles and/or photos, etc. This is done through a comprehensive matchmaking system that screens all clients via background checks, video and in-person interviews, as well as biographies and photos to ensure confidence and safety with each date.

What separates Breanna & her team from the rest is that Match Right Matchmaking truly cares about each of their clients and wants to do right by them. The Match Right team act as friends to their clients, often being called their “wing women”, due to their unconditional advice, help, and constructive criticism after each date to better understand client needs and continuously improve. With dating apps being at the butt of just about every joke, Match Right is proving that there’s a smarter and more optimal way of finding love in this digital age. The team at Match Right Matchmaking is on their way to helping hundreds of couples Stop Swiping, and Start Connecting.

Where did the idea for Match Right Matchmaking come from?

I’ve worked in the matchmaking industry for years and saw how corrupt it was. I wanted to make a positive impact in the industry but didn’t want to be in an environment where I had to lie or scam people, so I created a system to reflect that.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

All my days are different, no two are the same. Typically, I’ll have back-to-back meetings with clients before searching for the perfect matches for them. I’m also regularly setting up profiles, hosting events, and scouting for potential clients.

How do you bring ideas to life?

Once I have an idea, I’ll go out and seek a solution. For clients, this could mean having our team actively search through our database until we find the perfect match for them or scout new girls. Either way, due diligence is non-negotiable – we only want the best for our clients and are constantly learning and bettering ourselves to do so.

What’s one trend that excites you?

Our client’s success stories are always exciting to me. Some of our clients really believe they’ve been cursed and aren’t meant for love, so having them reach out with gratitude and optimism after a date we’ve set up for them inspires me to keep doing what I’m doing.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

There are a few. Being passionate about what you do is definitely important to continuously be productive. Having the right team put in place is also equally important. Last but not least is being organized and paying close attention to all the details.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Be nicer to yourself! We all make mistakes, and that’s okay as long as you learn from them. On that note, be more accepting of older people’s advice. They know what they’re talking about.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

That matchmaking isn’t worth it! People always tell me they can do it themselves but fall into the same bad patterns, which leads some to give up on love completely. Let me help you and prove that your person is out there.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

I prioritize being very thorough and hitting all the nuances to find my clients exactly what they need. Listening to them and digging deep to truly understand their needs is so important.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

Having a great service helps grow your business through referrals and success stories. Our empathy and thoroughness in setting people up have left clients so ecstatic that they refer their kids, parents, and friends. Building trust and rapport and working in their best interests really promotes itself.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

You’re constantly failing as an entrepreneur, it never ends. What’s important is that you learn from it and course correct for the future. We’re all doing our best and learning every day, so don’t let failure scare you from moving forward, it may just be the catalyst.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

I watched a show recently where someone was able to match people using their blood. The whole science of love is so interesting to me, and I would love to see more of it. Even astrology is fascinating and could be used in matchmaking.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

I recently made little gift bags using a few items, along with a $5 bill to give to any homeless I see throughout the day. It’s such a simple act but so impactful.

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive?

Appointlet. This allows us to communicate easily and schedule meetings with our girls. I like how simple it is to use and how it integrates into our work.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

The Five Love Languages, by Gary Chapman. I believe this book should be taught to all at a young age to help them learn more about themselves and what they need from partners in life. This would help so many people feel empowered by their differences rather than ashamed.

What is your favorite quote?

“People that love you care about how they make you feel.”

Key Learnings:

  • Even though you might have had bad luck dating in the past, the problem isn’t necessarily you. There’s a much better way to date within pools that suit you.
  • You’re only as strong as your team. Build a strong team where everyone’s differences complement each other and there are no limits to what can be accomplished.
  • People are still worth finding and falling in love with. Love is such a powerful thing. Never give up on it.
