Where did the idea for your career come from?

While working in the Autonomous Vehicle & Climate Tech space, I realized one of the most significant contributors to Global Warming is the transportation sector. And I also realized that for a Robotaxi service to operate, the most effective would be to have the most parking available and thus the best customer service. From there, I was able to bring on a team of people that where able to add more to the business plan.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

Many of my days consist of meeting with companies in the Autonomous Vehicle industry ecosystem companies to complete full-featured solution sets. I do my best to make them productive as possible by prioritizing my time and staying well organized.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I always have my Microsoft Surface Notebook around to jot ideas down as they come. From there, it’s all about making time to make it happen and staying dedicated to your goal. Without dedication, nothing will come to life.

What’s one trend that excites you?

AI/ML in the transportation sector with Autonomous Vehicles and Trucking is going to change the lives of everyone. There is nothing better than getting everyone, no matter what social or economic class, to wherever they need to go in the fastest time at a cost that people can afford with zero carbon footprint to help save the world from global warming.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

I have learned to focus on one thing at a time relentlessly!

What advice would you give your younger self?

Don’t be afraid to use your voice! I have grown to share mine at high-profile events and wish I had started sooner. There’s no better feeling than helping others learn new things with your knowledge.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

It really does not rain that much in Seattle if you look at the yearly rainfall – it is just a lot of overcast!

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

Communicating effectively is key! By doing this, you will be able to learn more, focus more, and create strong relationships with partners and clients.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

Always do your research on what other similar companies are doing. This doesn’t mean you should be getting all of your ideas from them, but it can help you better understand what works and what doesn’t.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

I learned that you will always come across someone who doesn’t believe in you and your ideas, and the only thing you can do is continue to believe in yourself. Many great people are open to hearing your thoughts and ideas, so don’t stop sharing just because one person turned you down.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

When you are starting your company, you need a top executive team member in each of the different leadership positions. Don’t be afraid to bring in co-founders at the very earliest of stages that are experts in the other areas of yourself that the company needs.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

A new pair of glasses! There’s no such thing as too many when you’re constantly looking at a computer screen.

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive?

Avoma is a note-taking tool that has helped me so much! Essentially, it’s an AI meeting assistant that automatically transcribes and summarizes every meeting for you. It’s normal for my meetings to go very long, and with so many different things being said, it’s hard for me to jot it all down at once. This tool is a lifesaver, and I recommend that everyone gets it!
Now more important than any software or web service is a minimum of 3 large 4K screens. Then you can most efficiently use the software or web service programs.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari. The book focuses on how humankind has evolved all the way from the stone age until the twenty-first century. I also enjoy reading daily news feeds in my industry. The world moves so fast now that real-time information is the most critical and valuable information a person can have.

What is your favorite quote?

“It is never too late to be what you might have been.”
