For 26 years, Chad Wable has worked in various leadership roles in health care and hospital administration. In 1999, Monongalia Health System hired him as its strategic analyst. Chad Wable later became the director of strategic planning and business Development.
Since this time, Mr. Wable has worked for St. Mary’s Health System in various leadership roles from 2002 to 2017, including president and CEO. He served as senior vice president and COO of Trinity Health of New England from 2016 to 2019, and subsequently served as managing director for the Berkeley Research Group for a short time in 2019.
Mr. Wable also launched a boutique health care consulting firm, AspireResults, in 2019. He continues to offer consulting services that help organizations with business and board development, improving operations, and interim leadership.
In 2020, Pipeline Health hired Mr. Wable as its interim CEO, a position he held until 2021. Today, he serves as an executive of a New England health care organization that provides hospital services in Connecticut and Massachusetts.
Mr. Wable’s professional affiliations include the American College of Healthcare Executives, where he is a fellow. In the past, he has been involved with Trinity Health’s Ministry Leadership Academy, the Connecticut Hospital Association Board of Directors, and the Metropolitan Governing Board of the American Hospital Association.
His credentials include an MBA from West Virginia University. In his personal time, he enjoys golf, fitness, coaching, and travel. He resides in Cheshire, Connecticut.

Stay ahead of emails and make personal calls, as opposed to email, whenever possible.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Invest more at a younger age in the market and be more aggressive.

What is one failure in your career, how did you overcome it, and what lessons did you take away from it?
Waiting to get clarity on expectations and performance. Never assume and always ask questions as to expectations and performance.
What is one piece of software that helps you be productive? How do you use it?
Copilot or any ChatGPT… It is incredible that we use to look things up in a dictionary or encyclopedia and now in 30 seconds you can get any answer to anything.
