What is your typical day, and how do you make it productive?

My typical day begins with a cup of green tea, then a brisk walk, and then I always make time for writing in the morning. My afternoons are packed with helping my students. And I love spending my evenings reading! That’s a perfect day for me.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I think ideas bring themselves to life and then keep popping up and nudging you until you finally do something with them.

What’s one trend that excites you?

I am completely obsessed with AI. I love all the new apps, the new features. I love experimenting with every kind of artificial intelligence.

What is one habit that helps you be productive?

I’m very focused. Once I get an idea I want to explore or a project I’ve committed to, I can stay on task and never lose interest.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Make more mistakes. When I was younger, I always saw mistakes as something negative, some failure on my part. Now I recognize that mistakes are valuable learning tools that can make you better.

Tell us something you believe almost nobody agrees with you.

I’m a lifelong optimist and try to tell people that happiness is important.

What is the one thing you repeatedly do and recommend everyone else do?

I’m a lifelong learner. I always encourage people to learn something new as often as they can.

When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, what do you do?

I used to eat potato chips. Now I munch on fresh veggies dipped in hummus.

My curiosity. I’ve always wanted to get answers to any questions that were in my head.

Make a plan. Write it down. Don’t be afraid to tweak it, change it, or toss it away entirely and start again if it isn’t working for you.
