Before establishing himself as a leader in the wealth management industry, Gary first excelled on the baseball diamond. A standout student-athlete, he was a member of the Honor Society and an All-State baseball player in high school. At the University of Delaware, Gary was inducted into the Financial Honor Society while earning national recognition as an All-American baseball player. His athletic achievements led to a professional baseball career, where he was honored with three team MVP awards and one league MVP title. Even after his playing days, Gary’s commitment to the sport continued through coaching, where he guided youth baseball teams to several state championships, shaping the development of countless young athletes.

Professionally, Gary has built a distinguished career in financial services, recognized for both his expertise and leadership. In 2025, he was named to Forbes Best in State Wealth Managers, one of many honors reflecting his dedication to clients and impact on the industry. During his long tenure at Merrill Lynch, Gary was twice named Resident Manager of the Year and achieved the elite status of Chairman’s Club Producer. He later joined Janney Montgomery Scott, where his leadership and client focus earned him membership in the firm’s Presidents Club. These accolades underscore not only professional success but also Gary’s commitment to integrity, service, and results.

Reviewing accounts, meeting with clients, executing on financial plans.

There has not been one time in my life that I have felt overwhelmed or unfocused.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business or advance in your career?

Bringing my daughter onboard to create a multigenerational team with a focus on women and their unique needs.

What is one failure in your career,  how did you overcome it, and what lessons did you take away from it?

I chose the wrong person to be my first partner. Over the next 10 years, I was more careful in my approach to business and relationships. The takeaway was eventually the one person I discovered that I could trust with my clients’ welfare was my daughter.

What is one piece of software that helps you be productive? How do you use it?

Salesforce. I use it for customer relationship management.

My favorite book is The Science of Hitting by Ted Williams.
