What is your typical day, and how do you make it productive?

As a digital marketer, my typical day is well-balanced between my work- life.

I usually wake up at 7 AM and start my morning with a mild workout and a quick meditation session. These two things really keep me motivated and focused throughout the day. After this, I take a cold shower and have breakfast with my family. Most of my day hours are occupied with work calls and business meetings, so I just want to cherish this time with my family.

Productivity can be completely different for every person. For me, it’s important to follow a daily routine, whether it’s professional or personal, to become more productive. So, while traveling to my office, I usually try to plan my entire day. I think about my list of activities I need to accomplish in a day and try to plan and set reminders for meetings. These things help me prepare my entire day smoothly and efficiently. My first half of the work time consists of clearing the pending issues, work meetings, and creating a good workflow for employees. Well, I also like to interact and take updates and feedback from my team members in the second half. Starting from the summary of the day to any challenges related to work, I try to help my team in every possible way. During the day, I don’t often use my mobile a lot – I check my LinkedIn and Twitter only on breaks. I also try to take intentional breaks and keep my mind fresh and clear.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I don’t like to set aside a specific time or way to brainstorm ideas, as I am often busy with my tight schedule. However, my brain always works on ideas in the background, even when I’m engrossed with a task or communicating with clients. I would like to remain open and receptive, drawing inspiration from even the simplest and smallest sources. Eventually, I consolidate all my thoughts, connect the dots, and weave everything together to produce some of my most innovative and creative ideas.

What’s one trend that excites you?

Over the past few months, we’ve witnessed a profound transformation and impact on the digital marketing industry, largely driven by artificial intelligence. From data analytics to content marketing, AI is changing how we think, work, and live. So, among the current trends that I’m particularly excited about are the potential of AI marketing trends such as Generative AI and Virtual Reality (VR).

What is one habit that helps you be productive?

One habit that has helped me to stay productive for many years is setting clear goals and priorities. I try to break big tasks into smaller, more manageable ones and set deadlines. I apply this method to all my long-term goals and everyday tasks. I know what I want to achieve each day, so I focus on the important tasks that need to be done first. This will help me to stay focused and on track.

What advice would you give your younger self?

With all my years of experience and knowledge, I would surely tell my younger self to be more confident in any situation. I would also tell myself to take more risks and not be afraid to fail because failure is a part of the learning process.

Tell us something you believe almost nobody agrees with you on?

Well, this might be a bit controversial, but I believe that working from home (WFH) is much better as compared to the traditional office environment.

I see it as a transformative shift in how we approach work in this digital era. WFH offers greater flexibility and work-life balance, allowing individuals to tailor their schedules, which increases their productivity. Remote collaboration has also become much easier and seamless with the right tools and communication platforms. Nowadays, teams can work cohesively and efficiently, regardless of their physical location.

What is the one thing you repeatedly do and recommend everyone else do?

One practice I recommend to everyone is to create a vision board. It’s a simple yet powerful tool for clarifying your goals, maintaining focus, and manifesting your aspirations into reality. Whether it’s your professional or personal life, having a vision board can help you turn your dreams into a vivid reality.

When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, what do you do?

Take a break! I normally stay away and do a completely different activity, like hitting any sports. And sometimes, I isolate myself alone in a room, listen to my favorite music, and sleep deeply. This helps me to stay calm and relax my body as well as my mind. This always works like magic!

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business or advance in your career?

One strategy that really helped in my career and growing my business, Link Publishers, is content marketing. From creating high-quality, informative content for my target audience to promoting it on the right platforms, content marketing helps to establish authority, build trust, and attract clients.

What is one failure in your career,  how did you overcome it, and what lessons did you take away from it?

In my early days as a marketer, I faced a major setback in a marketing campaign for my brand. Even after working on it for weeks and weeks with my team, it just fell flat. However, instead of getting disappointed or dwelling on it, I analyzed everything from the start to determine what actually went wrong. After the entire feedback process, I learned from my mistakes and prepared a new marketing plan for the brand. This was one of the experiences that I used to refine my strategies, and this failure has become a stepping stone to my success!

What is one business idea you’re willing to give away to our readers?

One business idea I believe is a great opportunity for people working in digital marketing is the concept of AI-generated link-building services. Today, we all know the power of artificial intelligence, and the best thing is that it can be harnessed to revolutionize how businesses establish their online presence. From generating high-quality content and identifying relevant link opportunities to tracking the results of link-building campaigns and optimizing the website, an AI-powered link-building tool can benefit your business in several ways.

What is one piece of software that helps you be productive? How do you use it?

Fireflies. This is a remarkable AI-powered notetaker that I use almost every day. It records and generates meeting summaries, which I can access later to keep track of the work. It helps me to streamline my workflow, especially during meetings and important discussions with my team and clients.

Do you have a favorite book or podcast you’ve gotten a ton of value from and why?

One of my favorite books is “Contagious: How to Build Word of Mouth in the Digital Age by Jonah Berger.”

This book gives me a great insight into why certain things go viral and how to make your marketing message more shareable. It beautifully explains why some ideas, products, or content go viral while others remain unnoticed. This book is perfect for anyone who wants to understand and master the art of sparking contagious conversations.

What’s a movie or series you recently enjoyed and why?

I recently watched ‘Moneyball,’ directed by Bennett Miller, and I must say it left quite an impression on me. This movie is a real-life story of Billy Beane, the Oakland Athletics’ general manager, who uses data-driven strategy and the power of teamwork to achieve success. As a big sports fan, I was fascinated by how the film showed how Beane used statistics and unconventional thinking to outsmart his opponents.
