What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

As an Real Estate Broker my tasks and responsibilities are always changing but I still find ways to structure my day. My mornings typically consist of emails and phone calls while my afternoons are left for meetings and other administrative tasks. I find it helpful to adhere to a daily routine and to focus on one project at a time. Since the start of the pandemic I find that I am in my office more and now meet many of clients virtually.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I work with a team of extremely bright individuals, all who bring a high degree of expertise and talent to the firm. I will always run any new ideas past my colleagues and obtain critical feedback before implementing a new idea. I think constructive criticism is vital to the brainstorming process.

I would also tell myself to seek the help of a mentor, having an experienced individual provide you with educated advice is extremely valuable, especially when first starting out in your career.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

There is no such thing as multitasking. It is essential to just focus on one task at a time in order to maximize your efforts. I recommend giving your full attention to everything that you do no matter how minor it may seem.\

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

I would have to say networking as it is not only specific to real estate. Surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals is not only educational, but it is also inspiring. The COVID-19 pandemic really forced me to re-evaluate how I do business. With a strong focus on the digital landscape, we now invest more into our online marketing efforts in order to reach a larger demographic.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

There are many hurdles you must face when it comes to owning and operating your own business. However, I would have to say that an early challenge was being able to designate my less essential tasks to other individuals. As a business owner, you want to take on everything yourself but that is unproductive and often leads to burnout.
