Krishan Bajnath

Krishan Bajnath’s story begins in New Jersey, where he spent his early years. He later moved to Florida, but life there wasn’t easy. Facing racism, his family decided to move to Georgia for a fresh start. It was there that Krishan found new roots. He excelled in high school, earning a scholarship to Georgia State University. He also joined the National Honor Society and spent a year volunteering at Northside Hospital. Sports played a big part in his life too. He loved playing basketball and football with friends.

After graduating from Georgia State, Krishan went to pharmacy school at PCOM in Georgia. He worked hard, making the Dean’s List, and graduated in 2020. His career began right at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. He started as a pharmacist at CVS, where he was part of vaccine teams visiting nursing homes and other facilities. One of his biggest projects was vaccinating Delta Airlines employees in Atlanta. He gave many of those shots himself and later led a large team of pharmacists and technicians to continue the job.

When he’s not working, Krishan stays active. He enjoys playing basketball, football, pickleball, and bowling. He also loves to hike, cook, travel, and watch movies and TV shows. Video games are another favorite pastime.

Krishan has traveled all over the world, visiting places like Spain, France, Japan, and the Dominican Republic. His passion for pharmacy and helping others, mixed with his love of adventure, makes his journey one of perseverance, kindness, and curiosity.

What is your typical day, and how do you make it productive?

Krishan’s day usually starts with an early morning workout. He plays basketball or goes for a hike to get moving. After breakfast, he heads to the pharmacy, where he manages patient prescriptions and checks on medication orders. He believes in focusing on one task at a time. When working, he keeps his phone away to avoid distractions. In the evenings, he enjoys cooking a homemade meal, often trying new recipes from the places he’s traveled.

How do you bring ideas to life?

Krishan likes to take a hands-on approach. When he was part of the COVID-19 vaccine team, he didn’t just follow orders—he actively worked with others to set up systems to vaccinate hundreds of people efficiently. He believes the best ideas come when you are directly involved. He takes small steps, tests them out, and adjusts based on what works.

What’s one trend that excites you?

He suggests everyone cook their own meals at least once a week. For him, cooking isn’t just about eating—it’s about slowing down and being present. He often makes dishes inspired by his travels, like Spanish paella or Japanese ramen.

What is one failure in your career,  how did you overcome it, and what lessons did you take away from it?

Early in his pharmacy career, Krishan once made an error with a medication order. He caught it before it caused harm, but it shook his confidence. He learned to slow down, double-check, and ask questions. That moment made him a more careful pharmacist.
