What is your typical day, and how do you make it productive?

I like to keep my daily routine as consistent as possible, even on weekends, to boost productivity. My typical morning starts with a 30-minute audiobook or podcast to spark creativity and get my brain juices flowing. I then kickstart my energy with a protein shake and some vitamins before diving into answering emails and hopping on work meetings. Throughout the day, I fuel my body with healthy vegan meals and head to the gym in the late afternoon after my workday is over. In the evenings, I unwind by spending quality time with my girlfriend or friends, as I love spending time and laughing with loved ones.

How do you bring ideas to life?

A lot of persistence. I’m always asking questions and trying to figure out what I can do next to keep moving forward. I also like to break down any large tasks into small, manageable steps. This helps to keep me motivated and stay consistent so that I’m able to maintain momentum and turn my ideas into reality.

What’s one trend that excites you?

I’m really excited about the progress being made in increasing human healthspan and lifespan. The idea of people living longer and healthier lives is incredible, and I love keeping up with all the new breakthroughs that are making it a reality. It’s not just about adding more years to life but about feeling good, staying active, and enjoying those years to the fullest. I truly love my life and strive to live as long and as healthy as possible—and I want the same for others.

What is one habit that helps you be productive?

Working out every day is non-negotiable for me. It’s not just about staying in shape—it’s how I reset, recharge, and stay sharp. I actually have a treadmill under my standing desk so I can walk during meetings, which has been a game changer. Walking while talking or brainstorming boosts my productivity and creativity like nothing else.

What advice would you give your younger self?

I would tell young Naushad to prioritize his sleep. I’ve learned that sleeping is the best way to restore your body and mind. In my 20’s I probably slept around 3-5 hours per night, thinking I could replace my natural energy with coffee or an energy drink. But now that I’m older and getting a consistent 8 hours of sleep each night, I can feel the difference. I’m much more energized, creative, and happier, even without any caffeine. I also tend to get sick less because my body has enough time to rest and recover.

Tell us something you believe almost nobody agrees with you.

My hot take is that college isn’t the only way to become educated, and not everyone needs to take that route to succeed. A lot of people might disagree, but I believe education can come from real-world experiences, on-the-job learning, finding mentors, or even reading books and exploring online resources. I try to read one book a week, and I’ve learned far more from books than I ever did in college courses. What truly matters is a willingness to learn and grow, not where or how you do it.

What is the one thing you repeatedly do and recommend everyone else do?

One thing I do regularly and recommend to everyone is getting health checkups. It’s such a simple habit that helps you stay on top of your health and catch any potential issues. I make it a priority to see my doctor, dentist, and optometrist regularly. I’d much rather stay proactive and address any problems early than wait too long and risk not being able to take care of myself or make a change.

When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, what do you do?

When I feel overwhelmed or unfocused, I start by making a to-do list to get all my thoughts and tasks out of my head and onto paper. Then, I organize the list by priority and focus on just one thing at a time. It helps me feel less scattered and more productive, even when there’s a lot to do.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business or advance in your career?

Finding the right people has been key to building a strong foundation and creating long-term success. I like to surround myself with talented, driven individuals who share my vision. When you have a team you can trust, it not only lightens your workload but also brings fresh ideas and perspectives that push the business forward.

What is one failure in your career, how did you overcome it, and what lessons did you take away from it?

I’ve started many businesses over the years, and a lot of them have failed. But each one taught me something valuable and reinforced the importance of never giving up. Over time, I’ve learned to be less indecisive and make decisions more quickly. Even if a choice turns out to be wrong, acting fast saves time, and I can always course-correct later on with the lessons I’ve learned. Every failure has been a stepping stone to better decision-making and greater resilience.

What is one business idea you’re willing to give away to our readers?

I think an AI-powered accounting platform that automates bookkeeping would be a great idea. I’m not sure if it exists already or not, but I do know that accounting is one of the most tedious parts of running a business, and a lot of business owners, including myself, don’t enjoy it. But, it’s essential for staying organized and understanding your numbers. I think a platform that automates data entry, categorizes expenses, and generates financial reports could save business owners a lot of time while giving them the insights they need to make smarter decisions. It’s definitely a tool every entrepreneur would appreciate.

What is one piece of software that helps you be productive? How do you use it?

I’m a huge fan of Notion. It’s my go-to tool for staying organized, managing my calendar, and keeping track of all my to-dos. I use it to plan my day, organize projects, and store everything I need in one place. I also collaborate with my staff and team members on Notion, helping everyone stay organized and productive. It’s simple, flexible, and incredibly effective for managing both work and personal tasks.

What is the best $100 you recently spent?

This one is personal, but recently my girlfriend and I took a cooking class together. I’m not much of a chef, so it was a fun way for us to learn something new, work as a team, and enjoy a night out. It was also a perfect break from the stress of work, giving us a chance to connect and spend quality time together, which was worth every penny. Now we have a recipe we can recreate at home, keeping the memory alive and making our date nights even more special.

Do you have a favorite book or podcast from which you’ve received much value?

One of my favorite podcasts is How I Built This with Guy Raz. I really enjoy hearing the behind-the-scenes stories of how entrepreneurs built their businesses, especially when it’s brands I recognize or use myself. It’s fascinating to learn about their challenges, how they solved problems, and the lessons they picked up along the way. It’s a great reminder that success doesn’t happen overnight and that persistence and creativity are key. I always walk away with new insights and ideas I can apply to my own work.

What’s a movie or series you recently enjoyed and why?

I recently watched Squid Game, and it completely blew me away. The writing was sharp, the story was well thought out, and the actors were incredible. What I loved most was how it showed that a great story can connect with people everywhere, no matter the culture or language. The universal themes and emotional depth made it relatable to audiences all over the world, proving how international television can bring people together through powerful storytelling.

Key learnings:

  • Build for others, not just yourself. Focusing on how your actions, creations, or decisions can benefit others and make a positive impact on the world.
  • Take care of yourself, and the rest will follow. Prioritize your physical and mental health to increase productivity, resilience, and the ability to tackle challenges effectively.
  • Stay curious and learn from others. Every conversation, story, or shared experience is an opportunity to gain insights, spark creativity, and enhance your journey.
