What is your typical day, and how do you make it productive?

In a typical day I wake up around 6am get ready for work and eat breakfast. I try to be out the door by 7am so I have time to grab a coffee and arrive at my desk by 8am. Most of the day involves taking meetings and notes with different managers throughout the US and Europe. By 5pm I am usually ready to leave the office for the gym before heading home. Usually, I am home by 7pm where I cook dinner and relax for an hour or two before bed(unless additional work needs to be done). I make my day productive by prioritizing my time. This is done by planning out my week on the prior Friday. I also listen to podcasts that keep me updated on market news during my drive/workout.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I bring ideas to life by reaching out to subject matter experts in regards to the idea. From there I can get a sense of how to approach the idea in the first place. Mapping out the “plan of attack” for the idea increases efficiency quite a bit. But this all starts from knowing what I don’t know and seeking out an expert’s opinion.

What’s one trend that excites you?

I am excited about private market investments becoming available to retail investors. We are still in the early stages of seeing what that will all look like, but it will be incredibly interesting to see how it all shakes out. On one hand it seems like a good thing that retail investors will have access to this new asset class. On the other hand, Wallstreet has been known to rip off the little guy in the past, and part of me is afraid of history repeating itself.

What is one habit that helps you be productive?

Planning out my entire week has helped me stay productive. I read somewhere that Bill Gates and other successful people plan out almost their entire year ahead of time. This allows them to stay focused on the most important things and stay on the path towards their ultimate goal. I am not that extreme about it, but I feel that planning out the following week has been extremely helpful in staying productive.

What advice would you give your younger self?

I would tell my younger self to be open to new opportunities and accept that not everything will go according to plan – and that is okay. Life is not a straight path and there will likely be unforeseen events that come up. How you react to those events is the most important thing. Never let anyone outwork you. That is not acceptable. Also go see you grandma more often.

Tell us something you believe that almost nobody agrees with you on.

That Lane Kiffin will be the head coach for the Florida Gators football team in 2026. I have had a lot of friends question why he would leave his current job, but we argue about it constantly.

What is the one thing you repeatedly do and recommend everyone else do?

Go for walks and talk to locals. In Baltimore, I try to take a walk around the harbor or explore a new area at least once a week. When I am traveling, I think taking a walk and talking to the locals is extremely eye opening. They typically have better ideas/recommendations than anything google can tell you.

When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, what do you do?

I step away from the task at hand, take a walk, take a few deep breaths, and drink some water. Burnout is a real thing and fighting through it doesn’t work for me. Having a quick reset has given me much better results.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business or advance in your career?

Talking to as many people as possible to gain as many perspectives as possible has helped advance my career the most. Ultimately, I work in a people business, so hearing as many different opinions and outlooks has helped me grow. This goes both in a professional setting and outside the workplace.

What is one piece of software that helps you be productive? How do you use it?

Todoist is a productivity app that has been very helpful. It is essentially a task manger that allows me to stay on top of and prioritize different short and long term goals that I have set out for myself. I use it to remember basic daily work related tasks(follow up on emails, knock out certain reports) but it is also used for personal goals(finishing a new book by a certain date, hitting a new personal record in the gym).

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

Dinner with my father. I don’t see him a ton any more because we live in different states, but getting to spend time with him as my treat was an awesome experience.

Do you have a favorite book or podcast you’ve gotten a ton of value from and why?

My favourite podcast is called “Compound and Friends” and I have gotten significant value from it. The two hosts are both interesting and down to earth people, so it makes it easy to listen along. They make it seem like they are having a friendly conversation with me. In reality they are talking about things relevant to my job, so I am learning/working without thinking about it. My favourite book is called “Fearless” and it has taught me that no matter where you are in life, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. It is an inspiring book and I’d encourage anyone to read it.

What’s a movie or series you recently enjoyed and why?

Severance season two was my favourite series of 2025. Without giving away any spoilers, the second season kept me on edge throughout the entire series. It was extremely unpredictable and left me wanting the third season to start as soon as possible. Cliff hanger was an understatement.
