Raman Arora is the co-founder and Head of Machine Learning of Webtunix AI, an artificial intelligence consulting company that is unfolding the concealed potential of machines by pushing the boundaries of AI and exploring stupendous possibilities to unravel the complex problems. He has been closely working on artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning technologies for the past 8 years. A technology lover by heart, his love for the latest technology and gadgets is commendable.

Carrying forward his passion and a keen interest in technology, Raman co-founded Webtunix AI is currently providing top-notch solutions in the various niche like healthcare, finance and the stock market, sports result prediction, fashion industry and many more. Presently offering consultation to the local as well as global organizations, Webtunix has become a known name in the business and has achieved a lot in a short span of time.

Raman Arora and co-founders Ajay Jatav, Ruchi Mehra and Gagandeep Singh want to set an example for startups by proving that ‘Nobody can stop you from being successful if you are determined and have a right attitude’. He is also making sure that the Webtunix enters right strategic alliances with global partners for long-term growth. He is also responsible for setting the strategic roadmap for the next 10 years.

Where did the idea for your company come from?

Ever since starting to work in artificial intelligence technology, I was clear in my mind that one day I would establish my own firm. I was amazed to see what AI can do for the mankind. Automation, robots, intelligent machines, virtual assistants and other AI applications served as the catalyst for my interest in AI technology. AI is going to revolutionize the way how we perceive things. So, I decided to start the AI company, Webtunix with my co-founders.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

I am a morning person and love to get up early. My typical day starts with practicing Yoga and meditation. This keeps me energized and motivated for the entire day. After reaching the workplace, I check all Emails, messages from clients or coworkers. My half of the day is spent with my core development team planning and implementing the AI solutions, resolving issues, listening to suggestions and new ideas, attending meetings and appointments etc.

My other half of the day flies away in keeping myself updated with the latest trends in AI and machine learning technology and setting up new goals. I also work closely with my digital marketing and social media marketing team to make the business visible and reachable. I love to focus on my tasks and avoid interruptions as much as possible.

How do you bring ideas to life?

It is rightly said that necessity is the mother of invention. I like to solve the real world problems that are faced by businesses or individuals in real life. I closely observe the areas of the businesses that need improvement and question myself, How can I improve the current scenario? How can I implement artificial intelligence to solve this problem?

If the idea is fresh and appealing, I discuss this with my team and think about all the possible dimensions. How much effort will it consume? Can we get the right investors? Is it beneficial for Webtunix in the long run? If we are fully satisfied with the idea, we start working on it and bring it to life.

What’s one trend that excites you?

I am a big fan of artificial intelligence technology. The latest development in AI technology like self-driving cars, virtual assistants, smart homes excites me a lot. I am waiting for the day when we will be traveling in driverless cars, letting virtual assistant handle most of our work, living in smart homes and making highly accurate predictions.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

I always like to fix my priorities and get the work done according to the priority. I always try to deliver within the deadline. Do not delay the work, it might delay your success. Be loyal and motivated towards your work and it will certainly pay off.

What advice would you give your younger self?

I would like to advise my younger self to be more curious and ask great questions to yourself, innovative and not to get afraid of failures. In fact, fail fast so as to reach the path of success more quickly. Be empathetic, understand your social responsibility and think out of the box. Work hard to achieve your goal and at the same time live your life too. You don’t have to be perfect all the time.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

Many people think that there are a lot of bad things happening in the world like terrorism, cold wars, economic crisis and many more. No doubt there is a lot of bad things out there but there are good things too. There are good people all around the globe who are working constantly to make the world a better place to live in.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

As an entrepreneur, you have to test your limits and find new challenges. The road to success is long and tough but nothing can beat the satisfaction of achieving your goal. Always push your limits and try to achieve more than you are capable of. Be ready for new challenges and learn from your failures. Grab the opportunities from both hands that will take you closer to the sweet taste of success.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

Digital marketing and online marketing have truly helped in growing the business and getting new leads. It has increased my social media engagement and people want to know about our business. They are curious about how Webtunix can help them to solve their real-life problems. I get a lot of messages on Facebook, Linkedin, and other social media platforms. This strategy has also helped me in increasing the traffic on my website.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

If I look back over my entrepreneurship experience, I feel my biggest failure was how I perceived things. I just scrape the surface and not dug deep into the problem statement. I did not look at all the dimensions and make my decisions in haste. This lead me to take many wrong decisions that have cost a lot in terms of money and resources. I overcome my weakness by getting into things completely without letting any corner untouched. I have developed a habit of making decisions based on past experience and past data.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

There are n number of businesses that are going online every day. All of them are in a need of good marketing firm that can increase traffic on their website and improve their ranking in the search engines. As getting traffic is the first step in generating new leads. A digital marketing and SEO firm will be a good business idea according to me. Businesses are willing to spend a huge budget on the digital marketing, so why not gain most out of it.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

I am gadget freak and I am obsessed with them. I recently bought an Amazon Echo smart speaker. It can control a lot of home appliances. It can also answer my questions using Amazon’s Alexa assistant. You can also connect it to an external speaker. It has a good speaker and it is small in size. You can also connect it to an external speaker through a cable as well.

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive? How do you use it?

I use Asana for all my team management requirements. It is a great software to track the results of my team. It helps me to get organized. I can set up my projects using lists, boards, calendar, and timelines. I can share the details, set deadlines and get my work done. I can follow the projects and tasks through every stage. It provides the functionality to map out the steps over the time. It ensures that the smooth flow of the tasks.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

The Monk who Sold his Ferrari by Robin Sharma. This is one of my favourite book that teaches you many life lessons. For example, empty your cup so you can fill it with new ideas, you must open your own heart before you can touch other people’s heart and many more. This inspiring tale provides a step by step approach to living with great courage, balance, abundance and joy. It is an extraordinary story of Julian Mantle, a lawer forced to confront the spiritual crisis of his out of balance life.
