Sajin Rajan is the co-founder and CMO of Epixel Solutions, one of the popular IT solution providers known for the flagship product – Epixel MLM software. The product was developed with an aim to alter the phase of the network marketing industry, Sajin and his partners have put great effort to achieve this goal.

He is pretty much happy to share his thoughts on various aspects and like to help new idea-makers get their dreams to the world of reality. Let’s listen to the journey of a thought leader.

Where did the idea for Epixel Solutions come from?

The idea behind the establishment of Epixel as a brand struck me after I went to an event. The presentation was about the issues faced in the network marketing industry where managing consultants was extremely difficult and other concerns that needed attention.

Automation in an advanced way was much needed in the industry during that period of time. There were many software solutions that provided a software package to maintain the direct selling business, however, they were not effective. So, I decided to team up with my partners and develop a unique product that can work well.

Before that time we were running a company that offered web and mobile app development services.

It’s the speech in the midst of the event that made the breakthrough, and we found an opportunity in the direct selling world. We developed our first model of MLM system as the initial phase and we launched MLM software service locally in the Indian market.

This revolutionary idea transformed into a reality after a three-year-long wait and Epixel MLM Software emerged as an iconic brand in the industry.

We now focus on providing something unique that no one else has offered until today. We’re working on it and soon you are going to witness the new reality.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

I’m more of a late-night guy and my tight schedule keeps me prompted to wake up at 6 in the morning. Then straight away I head to the gym, well, I’m not a 6-pack guy (with a wink) but I try to maintain my fitness. Just like the saying, health is wealth!

By 9 AM, I’ll be at my office and the first thing I do is to have a talk with my partners (the scrum meeting), next, with our team, one after the other. Then I’ll kick-start my client sessions, project handling, searching out for more opportunities with the help of my business team, and other daily activities.

A productive way of dealing with things, I guess this is perfect for me as well as the team. Not every day is the same but I try to follow my routine even when I’m across the borders for client meetings. This keeps stability in business and personal life.

How do you bring ideas to life?

Ideas are the trigger points that keep pushing the limits and at Epixel, we always aim for better days. Well, our team is our strength, and bringing ideas to life is done with our personal success mantra.

If an idea pops in my brain, I call for a meeting and brainstorm with my team. With brainstorming, everyone’s ideas are exchanged, and the end results are the best!

It bolsters confidence and enhances the ideas that help me to build an effective strategy based on that idea. I believe in my team’s strength, and their ability to adapt to the new technologies is a positive sign, both technology-wise as well as in terms of confidence.

What’s one trend that excites you?

The trend that excites me is adding customer’s perspectives in my business and getting inspired with more feedback. Later, we developed other platforms like e-commerce, learning management, crypto wallet, CRM system, etc. to enhance customer’s experiences.

I do surf a lot on the internet and understand the trends that can bring progress not just in our business but in helping our customers too.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

It’s the bond that keeps my business running. By bonding, I meant the business relationship with the whole team at Epixel solutions. As I said before, our team is our strength, and we follow a liberal way to make our employees comfortable.

If I can give them enough freedom, obviously, there is a deadline and other decorum to follow, still, the freedom makes more productivity out of them as there isn’t much pressure exerted upon their heads.

It’s more than a habit, and I love being a part of such a wonderful team.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Never feel yourself down. If you fall down, get back on your feet and outburst yourself.

It’s you who is going to make that revolutionary change that people are going to whisper around in the course of history.

Believe in yourself and achieve the impossible, coz, you have that courage within you!

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

Think about a day when I am too busy with my work and my family calls me to get there before sunset. What would you do? My guess, you will say, “Oh, no way. It’s a pass, the day is too busy for me.”

To be frank, I won’t say that and I’ll find a way to reach home. Would you agree with this statement of mine? Believe it or not, I will find a way and get it done. For family!

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

Improve the scope of business across the globe to make our brand recognized. Brand recognition is an important part and we always prefer to focus on it. The more people know about you, the more they will trust you.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

There is no such single strategy that alone can bring wonders. There exist many points to map and guide the best available route to grow business. From a proper working plan to the marketing end, every aspect of the business is a strategy for me. Every minute details matter just like solving a case.

One needs to apply forensics and psychology in their business to solve problems. Finding a prospect is like finding a clue! You find more and finally, you’ll solve the case. Then something else happens, and you need to put a Sherlock face for it. This cycle goes on forever.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

It’s the availability of proper resources that were lagging behind. It wasn’t a pleasant journey for us at the beginning. MLM was not much accepted in the Indian market back then and finding genuine customers was a difficult task for us.

Then once we started to explore the world market, things began to find the tone. Now after completing more than a ten-year time span, we find it perfect.

The right marketing team alongside the core-developing and testing team was a perfect combo and these resources were acquired with our own effort. That’s how we overcame our failures and moved on.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

Developing a private blockchain for the network marketing business with native tokens, which will ease the transactions with maximum security and proper validation.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

I had a night out with my team which we enjoyed a lot. Started off with delicious food, partied hard, which really was a stress-reliever!!

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive?

It’s the platform in which we develop the entire system, and btw, we use many such technological platforms to lay a foundation. Most of the features available in our products are based on the advanced platforms and it provides us enough support to meet the client’s expectations.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

I found this one is perfect for all sorts of people – “You Can Sell: Results are Rewarded, Efforts Aren’t” by Shiv Khera.

What is your favorite quote?

“One, remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Two, never give up work. Work gives you meaning and purpose and life are empty without it. Three, if you are lucky enough to find love, remember it is there and don’t throw it away.”

I love this quote made by the great Stephan Hawking. He is the best example of saying “never give up even if there is no hope”.
