Scott Kapun

Creator of ArsenalNFT

Scott ‘Kap’ Kapun is the creator, owner and project lead at Arsenal NFT. He has over eight years experience in network engineering and over a decade in cryptocurrencies. His goal is to change the way Crypto/DeFi projects interact with their communities while providing the tools and groundwork for all who participate to earn passive income from the Arsenal NFT Ecosystem.

Where did the idea for ArsenalNFT come from?

ArsenalNFT was born from the Current Disdain of all the Crypto Rug Pulls and Scams. I wanted to build a project for the community that they could trust and utilize and not have to worry about losing their hard earned money. As a victim of rug pulls myself, this project and its credibility are of the utmost importance to me.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

I start every day off with a blended mix of Berries, Kale, Raw Meal, and Cocoa! After breakfast, I take stock of what needs to be accomplished for the day and write it down on a list so I can keep physical tabs of what is complete and what isn’t. In between working on said items I’m always brainstorming ideas I have for my current project and potential future projects/ideas.

How do you bring ideas to life?

Constantly brainstorming! My mind is constantly in motion! If I feel an idea has merit and needs to be expanded upon, it is immediately jotted down on paper! After some rough sketching on paper, I move straight to diagramming. There I can visually map out work flows, logic, and all aspects of the idea. This usually ends up giving me additional clarity and the overall scope of what is required to bring the idea to life.

What’s one trend that excites you?

Decentralized Finance! (DeFi) There are a slew of DeFi applications that I think add phenomenal value to the crypto community! Most certainly looking forward to what the future holds as the space expands.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

Staying focused on the task at hand and not wasting time on trivial things and activities that will not help you achieve your goals.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Read, learn, think, repeat. Knowledge is power! Absorb as much as you can while you can! You never know what thoughts and ideas might lead to an even greater thought or idea! Never give up!

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

A slew of Decentralized Finance Applications are simple Ponzi/Pyrmaid schemes that rely on new investors to support the previous investors.
The ridiculously high APY’s offered in DeFi are unsustainable. Token burning and taxing those that are part of the ecosystem are NOT THE ANSWER to sustain inordinate APY’s!

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

Never Doubt Yourself! Have faith in your ideas and visions! It is OK to accept constructive criticism, but never let anyone talk you out of something you believe in because THEY don’t think it will work!

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

I’m a people person! I love sparking conversations with anyone and everyone no matter where I go. That aspect of my personality has led me to acquire a lot of word of mouth business.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

As a crypto day trader and DeFi Investor, I recently lost 80K in the arbix rug pull fiasco! Although it certainly stung a bit, it was this event that led me to starting ArsenalNFT. Tired of feeling that I had no control over my funds being in these projects and blindly trusting Anonymous Devs, I decided to create a project that I was in control of and share it with the community!

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

This is an interesting question…. When Apple and Microsoft start giving away their ideas for free, we can revisit this one again!

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

A Home Kit Compatible Ceiling fan! Now I can control the fan and lights with my Siri Home Pod!

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive?

Lucid Charts! I use it for Everything! It Keeps all my ideas and logic in visual form so I can refer back at any time and pick up where I left off. It also makes it easy to share and communicate the aforementioned ideas to anyone who is interested.
