What is your typical day, and how do you make it productive?
Every day is different, but I thrive on structure. I start my mornings early, reviewing key priorities and ensuring my team has what they need to move forward. I dedicate time to client strategy, leadership development, and problem-solving. My goal is always to drive productivity through clarity—understanding what truly moves the needle and eliminating distractions.
I also protect my personal time. Whether it’s morning exercise or an evening walk, these moments help me stay sharp and focused. Productivity isn’t just about working harder—it’s about working smarter and making time for what truly matters.
How do you bring ideas to life?
I believe in collaboration and execution. A good idea means nothing without action. When I see an opportunity, I first evaluate its feasibility and long-term value. Then, I bring in my team—diverse perspectives, refine ideas and make them stronger. Once we’re aligned, it’s all about execution.
A key lesson I’ve learned? The best ideas often come from solving real problems, not from brainstorming in a vacuum. I stay close to my clients and my team to understand what’s needed, then act decisively.
What’s one trend that excites you?
The evolution of data analytics in risk management excites me. Our industry is shifting from reactive to proactive strategies, leveraging technology to assess risks before they become liabilities. This shift is revolutionizing how businesses operate, and I’m thrilled to be part of it.
What is one habit that helps you be productive?
Time-blocking. I dedicate specific time slots to deep work, meetings, and strategic planning. This prevents constant task-switching, which can be a huge drain on productivity. I also prioritize self-care—a productive mind needs rest and renewal.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Trust yourself more. You don’t have to prove your worth—your work will do that for you. Early in my career, I often felt like I had to over-prepare to be taken seriously. With experience, I realized that confidence isn’t about knowing everything—it’s about being willing to learn and adapt.
Tell us something you believe almost nobody agrees with you on?
Many people believe work-life balance is a myth, but I strongly disagree. Balance isn’t about perfectly dividing your time; it’s about being fully present in what you’re doing. When I’m working, I give it my all. When I’m with my family, I focus on them. Balance exists—it just requires discipline and intention.
What is the one thing you repeatedly do and recommend everyone else do?
Take time to reflect. Whether it’s daily journaling or a quiet morning walk, self-reflection brings clarity and direction. It’s easy to get caught in the whirlwind of daily tasks, but stepping back helps you make better, long-term decisions.
When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, what do you do?
I get outside. A quick hike, a walk, or even a moment of fresh air resets my perspective. I also remind myself of the bigger picture—why I do what I do. Re-centering on purpose brings clarity to chaos.
What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business or advance in your career?
Building strong relationships. Success isn’t just about knowledge—it’s about trust. I focus on listening, understanding, and delivering value to both clients and colleagues. When people know you have their best interests at heart, opportunities naturally follow.
What is one failure in your career, how did you overcome it, and what lessons did you take away from it?
Early in my leadership career, I hesitated to delegate effectively. I thought I had to oversee every detail to ensure success. That mindset led to burnout. I overcame it by trusting my team—realizing that empowering others strengthens the entire organization. The lesson? Let go and lead.
What is one business idea you’re willing to give away to our readers?
A mentorship platform for women in male-dominated industries. So many talented professionals hesitate to step into leadership roles because they lack guidance. Creating a structured mentorship program could change that.
What is one piece of software that helps you be productive? How do you use it?
I rely on Microsoft Teams to streamline communication and collaboration. It helps me stay connected with my team, share documents, and manage projects efficiently.
Do you have a favorite book or podcast you’ve gotten a ton of value from and why?
“Dare to Lead” by Brené Brown. It changed how I approach leadership. Vulnerability and strength go hand in hand, and this book reinforced the power of authenticity in leadership.
What’s a movie or series you recently enjoyed and why?
I recently rewatched “Moneyball.” It’s a powerful reminder that success isn’t about following the norm—it’s about seeing opportunities others miss. That mindset applies to business, leadership, and life.
