Break tasks into smaller smaller pieces and deal them.

Hamro Dev is a web and mobile app development company focused on creating functional, large-scale, engaging mobile and responsive web applications. They take care of all of your internet business needs so you can focus on developing your business.

Where did the idea for Hamro Dev come from?

The idea for this company came in mind after me and my friend who then was working for an IT company saw this pattern in which all the projects failed or delivered way late than the initial schedule is set for. We then talked to each about how IT projects are failing and found a missing piece in the jigsaw. After that, we decided to be the entire puzzle with all the pieces and skilled and professional work force to fit those pieces.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

Well we are currently working on to build our brand and network. So we are focusing on innovating new things which will not only build our brand, but also help our customers and developers in our network. For an example, we recently launched this head hunting platform where we help customers find most suitable professionals to carry out their project. Our human resources management is oriented to the search of high tech profiles that can enter – both remotely and in person – to work in your company as software developers, audio / video, marketing etc and both senior and junior profiles. So our customers can focus on developing their business.

How do you bring ideas to life?

Well for starters, any crazy idea that we come up goes to our list of ideas. We then review our ideas, and also ask our friends and people from our network for a constructive criticism. If needed we will also tinker and experiment our ideas before eliminating them. We also research on the mental aspect of the idea you know. Like how long it will take the ideas to come to life.. it could range from couple of days.. weeks to years.

What’s one trend that excites you?

Well you know there are a lot of new trends that excite us but out of all, the way how people are understanding the need of moving digital really excited me. It not only improves their businesses but also brings a lot of new important innovations across the world.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

I personally use the pomodoro technique. In this technique i work for 25 minutes of interval straight with no distraction, no phones no nothing. After 25 minutes of length i take 5 minutes break. After 4 such intervals i take a long break of 10 minutes . Think this technique is a mixture of work and timely break which is very important for getting refreshed. And it is by far the most productive thing that i have ever done.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Pftt younger self haha. Well I would tell my younger self to not procrastinate like seriously that thing is a killer. I have procrastinated a lot getting distracted..watching endless videos on YouTube and going out with friends seamlessly. There is a lot of things that you can learn and i missed a very golden time of my life. So don’t procrastinate get to work so that you can enjoy later.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

Well start up haha by definition of nobody is my friends and families you know. Those who understood by vision and the way we are working believed in me. They just didn’t like this idea of having own company and quitting my job and getting out of the comfort zone. But i am sure when they study the work that i am doing and the work that i have done so far, their view will certainly change.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

Experimenting ! We experiment a lot of ideas some fail and some work. The key idea here is to never loose hope, even if you don’t make money initially, it will if you are determined and know what you are doing. Never be afraid to experiment things, that’s the way you learn.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

For starters we are just beginning our business so for now we are networking and building our brand and i think this strategy is helping us a lot. We go to meetups and any tech related summit and offer free lessons / presentations on tech related things to tech enthusiast people. We have been able to grow our network of developers and engineers through the same and once you have skilled human force, you can get clients in no time.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

Well since are just starting up we haven’t got an opportunity to experiment on many areas. But i don’t know if you call it a failure but while working on with our websites SEO, we were not aware of the latest development that has been taking place on googles search so all the things that we did went all in vain. Well we researched a lot and asked some industry experts on it and now we have revamped the whole idea of SEO.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

Well people usually think having a business idea is the most cliche and daunting part of any start-up, to some extent it is true but people generate ideas to survive in the environment. Environment or the nature gives us a lot of struggles and with struggle comes ideas. For instance what does uber do? it’s a ride sharing app and there is this app which reminds people to blink eyes so its nature that gives us anything. The only challenge here is to interpret the nature and use technology in them.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

Well I think the best $100 that we spent are on google advertisement. We have received couple of clients by spending a little more than $100 and think is the best possible return on investment.

Here at Hamro we use Trello. Trello is a tool which helps us organize our tasks and share the status between me and my colleagues. And on top of that, it is very easy to use.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

Well I am not sure about it, I hope my colleague will have a hint on this since i am not a book person.
