What is your typical day, and how do you make it productive?
I usually start by reviewing my schedule for the day and prioritizing my tasks based on their urgency and importance. I’m a big believer in the power of routines, so I start my day with a few minutes of workouts or going out for a walk to clear my mind and energize my body. I find that this helps me to stay focused and productive throughout the day.
After my morning routine, I usually have a few meetings scheduled with my team or our partners, or my fellow co-founders. During these meetings, I like to listen actively, take notes, offer insights and suggestions where necessary, and note down all possible actionables. In between meetings, I usually take some time to catch up on industry news and trends, read a few articles, or watch some videos on the new trends. I find that this helps me to stay up-to-date and informed, which is essential in the fast-paced world of digital media.
In the afternoon, I usually focus on more creative tasks like product development, or brainstorming new ideas with my team. This is when I usually have the most energy and creativity, so I try to make the most of it. At the end of the day, I usually take some time to reflect on what we accomplished and review my schedule for the next day. I find that this helps me to stay organized and focused, which is essential for productivity and success as an entrepreneur.
How do you bring ideas to life?
For me, bringing ideas to life involves taking action and experimenting with different approaches until I find a solution that works. As an entrepreneur, I believe in building a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and testing it with users to get feedback and iterate on the product. To begin with, I start by researching the market and identifying gaps or problems that need to be solved. I then brainstorm ideas and select the most promising ones to work on. I focus on keeping things simple and avoiding overcomplication, as this can lead to unnecessary delays and costs.
Once I have an idea that I’m excited about, I instantly begin working on building an MVP that we can test with users. This usually involves creating a prototype or a basic version of the product that can be used to gather feedback and insights. I like to involve users early in the process, as their feedback is critical to improving the product and making it more user-friendly. I also believe in being agile and adaptable when it comes to bringing ideas to life. This means being willing to pivot or change direction if something isn’t working, and being open to feedback and new ideas from others. Ultimately, bringing ideas to life requires a combination of creativity, hard work, and a willingness to take risks and experiment.
What’s one trend that excites you?
One trend that excites me is the growth of digital media and the opportunities it presents for businesses and individuals to create and distribute content. With the rise of social media and streaming platforms, it’s now possible to reach a global audience without the need for traditional media gatekeepers. I believe that this trend is democratizing the media industry, allowing more diverse voices to be heard and for new ideas to emerge. It’s also creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs to build businesses around niche audiences and communities.
EssentiallySports is also a digital-first sports media company and hence I am always excited about the possibilities that this trend presents for our business. With our focus on providing a fan-centric perspective on sports news and events, we’re able to reach a global audience and build a community of passionate fans who share our vision. Overall, I believe that the growth of digital media is transforming the way we consume and create content, and I’m excited to be a part of this trend and see where it takes us in the future.
What is one habit that helps you be productive?
One habit that helps me be productive is setting clear and specific goals for each day, week, and month. I believe that having a clear understanding of what I want to achieve helps me to stay focused and prioritize my tasks effectively. To implement this habit, I start each day by reviewing my to-do list and identifying the most important tasks that I need to complete. I then break down those tasks into smaller, manageable steps and allocate specific time slots to work on them.
In addition, I regularly track my progress towards my goals and adjust my plans as needed to stay on track. This helps me to maintain momentum and make consistent progress towards my long-term objectives. I find that setting clear goals and breaking them down into manageable steps helps me to stay organized, focused, and productive. By staying disciplined and sticking to my plan, I’m able to accomplish more each day and achieve my goals more effectively.
What advice would you give your younger self?
If I could give advice to my younger self, I would tell him to focus on building a strong network of relationships and to be open to learning from others.I would also encourage my younger self to be open to learning from others and to seek out opportunities for growth and development. In my experience, the most successful people are those who are constantly learning and evolving, and who are willing to take risks and try new things.
Finally, I would tell my younger self to be patient and to focus on the long term. Success rarely comes overnight, and it’s important to stay committed to your goals and to keep pushing forward even in the face of setbacks or challenges. I believe that building strong relationships, being open to learning, and staying focused on the long-term are all critical factors for success in life and business. If I could give this advice to my younger self, I believe that it would have helped me to achieve my goals more effectively and to become a better leader and entrepreneur.
Tell us something you believe almost nobody agrees with you.
I strongly believe that traditional education is not the only way to acquire the skills and knowledge needed for entrepreneurship. While formal education can certainly be helpful, I think that real-life experiences and experimentation can be equally valuable. In fact, I have personally found that the most valuable lessons I have learned about entrepreneurship have come from my own experiences and experimentation. By diving in and trying things out, I have been able to gain a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship.
Of course, this is not to say that formal education is not important. There are certainly many useful skills and concepts that can be learned through academic study. However, I believe that it is possible to learn these skills and concepts through other means as well, such as online courses, mentorship, and hands-on experience. Ultimately, I think that the most important thing is to be open to learning and to be willing to experiment and take risks. By approaching entrepreneurship with an open mind and a willingness to learn from both success and failure, anyone can acquire the skills and knowledge needed to succeed as an entrepreneur.
What is the one thing you repeatedly do and recommend everyone else do?
One thing that I repeatedly do and strongly recommend others to do as well is to prioritize continuous learning and personal growth. As an entrepreneur and digital marketer, I have found that the field is constantly evolving, and there are always new trends, technologies, and strategies to learn and master. To stay on top of these changes and continue to grow as a professional, I make a habit of reading industry news and publications, attending conferences and workshops, and seeking out guidance from other experienced professionals.
I believe that this commitment to continuous learning and personal growth is essential for anyone looking to succeed in a fast-paced and rapidly changing field like digital marketing and entrepreneurship. By staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments, and continually seeking out new opportunities to learn and improve, anyone can build the skills and knowledge needed to succeed and thrive in this exciting field.
When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, what do you do?
When I feel overwhelmed or unfocused, I take a break and disconnect from work. I believe that taking a break helps to clear my mind and re-energize me. During this time, I like to engage in physical activities like playing sports, working out, or going for a walk in nature. Once I feel re-energized, I return to work with renewed focus and productivity.

What is one failure in your career, how did you overcome it, and what lessons did you take away from it?
One failure in my career was when I was working on a project that didn’t succeed as I had hoped. Despite putting in a lot of effort and resources, the project failed to gain traction and eventually had to be shelved.
However, I learned an important lesson from this failure – to always be willing to pivot and change direction if something is not working. Instead of persisting with a failing project, it’s important to recognize when it’s time to move on and focus on new ideas and opportunities. I also learned to not let failure discourage me, but instead to use it as an opportunity to learn and grow. Failure is a natural part of the process of innovation and entrepreneurship, and it’s important to use those experiences to improve and become better in the future.

What is one piece of software that helps you be productive? How do you use it?
For me, Trello and Slack are two of the most useful pieces of software for staying productive. I use Trello to keep track of my tasks and projects, and I find it very helpful for visualizing my progress and staying on top of my priorities. I also use Slack to communicate with my team and stay connected with colleagues and partners. As someone who’s always looking for ways to be more productive and efficient, I’m constantly on the lookout for new software and sites that can help me stay organized and focused.

I believe that investing in new experiences is one of the best ways to spend money.
