Where did the idea for AG Morgan Financial Advisors come from?

My three kids, Andrew, Gregory, and Morgan.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

I get into the office before 8 am to start the day bright and early. I review all appointments for the day with my team and client appointments start at 9 am. I average around 8 client appointments per day, most of which are to review the client’s financial plan to make sure they are on track with their financial goals.

How do you bring ideas to life?

We use a team approach. We are a team of ten and we divide up the work between the team members to make an idea a reality.

What’s one trend that excites you?

Clients are now bringing their children in so we can help them start planning for their financial future at an early age.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

My goal is to try to touch something only once.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Partner with younger advisors sooner rather than later.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

Face to face appointments are a must in a personal service business.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

I see my clients on a consistent basis to create and maintain a strong personal relationship with them.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

Providing a high level of service to my clients so my clients consistently refer me to their friends and family.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

I once had a partner that was stealing from me; I had to end the partnership and move on.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

The future is clearly electric vehicles. I recommend finding a niche in the EV market and you’ll be successful.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

I gave one of my staff members a bonus for going above and beyond; they were very grateful and appreciative.

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive?

Outlook is extremely important for me. My daily schedule is organized and updated on the program; in addition, it allows me to be accessible to clients via email at all times and I can work from anywhere.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?
