Antoine Tesquier Tedeschi, 25, originally from Paris, has worked in Miami, London and Paris for the past few years. Known as an entrepreneur and designer, Antoine has launched Hu2 Design in 2007.
His project is about developing new design ideas by merging the decorative and functional aspects into the same product. Awarded the Best Design Concept 2010 and nominated at the Best of Green Award 2010 by TreeHugger, Hu2 Design was described as the “wall design 2.0 “ by the press, thanks to the famous Eco Reminder wall stickers. Today, Antoine’s products are distributed over 16 countries and his company has seen a continuous growth through the years.
What are you working on right now?
I have been contacted to collaborate on few co-branding projects in Paris. It is very interesting to be involved in new challenges and be able to give a personal thoughts about a project or a concept.
3 trends that excite you?
Fashion and the luxury industry, where product design is always perfectly balanced between innovation and brand heritage.
I am also generally interested in new biomaterials that represent a fantastic opportunity to develop innovative products in an eco-conscious way. That is for me what would lead the future of Design.
How do you bring ideas to life?
Drawing! It’s the easiest way for me to express something. You always struggle to explain an idea to someone and make sure your message has been well interpreted. By drawing it, it comes crystal clear and it’s universal !
What inspires you?
Trends are usually inspired from History. When you look around, you will see incredible ideas that have been invented ages ago. But you can still add them new features, which will bring a new use to them.
What is one mistake you’ve made, and what did you learn from it?
I’m definitely not a patient person and I’ve rushed onto things a bit too quickly in the past. Now I’ve learnt how to think a bit more about the opportunities that have been offered to me. There is still a long way to go though!
What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?
Pizza! It’s by far the best business model I ever seen! Low production costs, high margins and everybody loves it…

What are the Eco Reminders?
The Eco Reminders are decorative wall stickers that remind people how to save energy. The aim is to help them realize that it will not only save the planet but also save them money!
You seem quite young for a designer, how do you feel about it?
I feel great! It’s always funny to see people’s reaction when you tell them how old you are, but I assume they are more interested in my work, rather than my age.
