Who are you and what do you do?
I’m Karlin Sloan and I’m the CEO of a leadership development consulting firm called Karlin Sloan & Company. We work primarily with Fortune 1000 companies and small hi-tech companies who require both collaboration and innovation from their leaders. We do one on one executive coaching, as well as high-potential leader development programs. You can find us at www.karlinsloan.com, and my blogs are available at http://karlinsloan.wordpress.com/ and http://social.successtelevision.com/pg/blog/karlinsloan.
How do you bring ideas to life?
Taking reflection time and not getting sucked in to everyday firefighting at work.
What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?
[amazon_link id=”1452885850″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Unfear: Facing Change in an Era of Uncertainty[/amazon_link] – because I wrote it! No, really, because it was a labor of love and I think it is really useful during rapid change.
What is one piece of advice that you’d like to give?
I’ll pass on my pithy quote of the day from Benjamin Franklin: “He that waits upon fortune is never sure of a dinner.”
