Darren Ewert

Co-Founder of The Dream Team

In 2015 Darren and Mike were on a road trip and doing some reflecting – they agreed that it was time for a change in their lives. At this point Darren was already a huge success in the online business world – having generated millions of dollars over the past 9 years. Mike was a business coach – using his over 15 years of business experience and training to help others achieve success. So why was it time for change?

Life is short – if you haven’t figured this out yet then you will soon. At the same time you’ll probably realize that you’ve also wasted away a lot of time just being busy with life. That you’ve missed out on a lot of important things. This is what hit them like a ton of bricks.

Darren and Mike realized that they were working a lot of long hours and making many other people really rich. Between the two of them, they already knew how to make money online and they knew how to build the team to do it. So on that day, Darren and Mike decided it was time for them – and their people.

Things are different now. That morning cup of coffee is enjoyed instead of rushed. Darren and Mike’s work hours are wrapped around their real lives – and we never ever miss out on those important moments anymore. We are working a fraction of what we were AND making more money while doing it. But the best part?

Every day Darren and Mike wake up excited because they know they will get the chance to help other people achieve the same FREEDOM – more time – and more money to enjoy that time with! Life is better when you share it, and every day they get to help their community get back to the important things in life; building memories with friends & family.

Where did the idea for your career come from?

Mike is a Business Coach and I was already doing Online Marketing so we decided to combine our skills and The Dream Team was born.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

Our typical day now is answering questions and managing our hundreds of employees in multiple departments. We have 1-2 zooms daily, and we manage it all by taking lots of breaks, so we aren’t sitting for long periods at a time.

How do you bring ideas to life?

People are your greatest resource. When we have an idea, we put together a list of all the people we know with the skillsets to help us implement it.

What’s one trend that excites you?

I love that more than ever, people are using the internet to be able to work from home and still be connected to their peers. For example, the use of zoom skyrocketed during the pandemic.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

I always do quick bits of work in time slots that would otherwise be non-productive. i.e., the grocery store line up, the waiting room of a dentist or doctor appointment, car wash, haircut, etc.

What advice would you give your younger self?

It’s easier to stay in shape than to get back in shape!

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

Good lighting is EVERYTHING!

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

I make To-Do Lists every day and check things off as I complete them. Even for the smallest tasks.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

Staying consistent. Even though we grow, we don’t just have the core business model and values. We just keep upgrading our systems to accommodate more people.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

There are no failures as an entrepreneur, only opportunities to learn and grow.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

All my business ideas are Multi-million dollar ideas! Why would I give them away for free!

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

I recently bought this tea with adaptogens and 7 mushrooms in it. It really helps me stay focussed and alert without the caffeine.

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive?

I LIVE for the “Reminders App” on my iPhone. It’s so easy and simple to use. I make all my To Do lists on it.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho because it’s a story about the journey of life. A journey that we all embark on, and this book will make you question your own life choices.

What is your favorite quote?
