What is your typical day, and how do you make it productive?

Wake up between 5-6am. Workout. Come home and help with the kids if they are still home. Get ready and go to our NYC or Westchester office. After work come home and spend time with family, dinner, tv, books, sleep.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I am very proactive and persistent. I need things done immediately and I accomplish that by being a go-getter.

What’s one trend that excites you?

The ease with which it is easier and easier to travel the world and still stay in touch with home base.

What is one habit that helps you be productive?

Persistence.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Be more outgoing.

Tell us something you believe almost nobody agrees with you.

That dogs are annoying pets (sorry animal lovers!)

What is the one thing you repeatedly do and recommend everyone else do?

Work out in the morning before the day starts and gets away from you.

When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, what do you do?

Block out everything else and focus on doing what I can do and can control.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business or advance in your career?

Being super responsive to emails and calls. Being unresponsive is a pet peeve of mine so I make sure I answer and handle things immediately. People notice and appreciate it.

What is one failure in your career, how did you overcome it, and what lessons did you take away from it?

I made a horrible but naïve decision that temporarily hurt my career; however, in the long run, the lessons learned from that decision have helped me since and will continue to until I retire.

What is one business idea you’re willing to give away to our readers?

Nothing is more important than responsiveness and communication. Even when there is nothing to tell or nothing good to tell people appreciate information. It leads to more business without a doubt.

What is one piece of software that helps you be productive? How do you use it?

My smartphone. I use it all day, every day, and I have my whole life on it.

What is the best $100 you recently spent?

Enrolled my children in a 3rd basketball league. Not the most competitive but very cheap and gives me more time to spend with them and for them to get better at the sport they love.

Do you have a favorite book or podcast from which you’ve received much value?

Joe Rogan podcast. It is not always the most intellectually stimulating but the wide breadth of people he interviews is fascinating.

What’s a movie or series you recently enjoyed and why?

The show “beef”…great Netflix series.
