Where did the idea for Enlightened Dentistry come from?

Healing teeth is more than just placing a filling or doing a root canal. To truly heal teeth, we need to work with the body, mind and emotions to reverse infections and dental pain. At Enlightened Dentistry, we use conventional and complementary techniques such as homeopathy, acupuncture, ozone therapy, lasers and nutrition, to reverse tooth decay and dental infections. Enlightened Dentistry implies a higher consciousness for healing teeth problems. By implementing holistic modalities, we can restore teeth and gums to a natural state of good health.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

On a typical day. I usually meet with many patients who are looking for solutions for healing not only their teeth, but also their chronic health problems. Most of our patients have been diagnosed with chronic incurable/autoimmune diseases. They have finally come to the realization that their teeth may be a major contributor to their health challenge. Since every tooth is on a meridian system (Chinese medicine) and connected with every part of the human body, it is important to have a very healthy dentition, so that energy flows freely to all major organs and body parts. If a tooth has an infection, root canal or a non-biocompatible restoration, the energy (qi) will stagnate and prevent healthy energy from flowing freely through the body. This could possibly create dysfunction and disease to organs along that meridian. By understanding this relationship, we are able to restore the teeth to optimum health and frequently reverse disease.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

I do something each day to detox my body. There are so many toxins in our environment – the food has pesticides, the water has chemicals added, and the air has pollution. All these toxins are cumulative and will ultimately weaken our immune system. We need to be proactive in getting these poisons out of our system – every single day.
