What is your typical day, and how do you make it productive?

My typical day starts early with a morning routine that includes meditation, exercise, and a healthy breakfast to set the right tone. I dedicate specific blocks of time for focused work, interspersed with short breaks to maintain energy. I prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact, ensuring the most critical items get attention first. Staying productive means minimizing distractions, so I often go offline or use app blockers when I really need to focus.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I bring ideas to life through a process of brainstorming, validation, planning, and execution. First, I brainstorm with trusted colleagues or mentors to refine the idea. Then, I validate it with potential users or through market research. Once validated, I develop a detailed plan, breaking down the idea into actionable steps. Execution involves a lot of trial and error, learning, and adapting along the way.

What’s one trend that excites you?

The rise of social entrepreneurship excites me. It’s inspiring to see more businesses addressing social issues as part of their core mission, not only striving for profit but also making a positive impact on the world.

What is one habit that helps you be productive?

Setting daily goals is a habit that keeps me productive. Each morning, I list what I need to achieve by the end of the day. This clear focus helps me avoid getting sidetracked and ensures I accomplish what’s most important.

What advice would you give your younger self?

I would tell my younger self to worry less about the opinions of others and more about staying true to my values and vision. It’s important to listen and learn from feedback, but not at the expense of losing your own direction and sense of self.

Tell us something you believe almost nobody agrees with you on?

I believe that true success in business comes more from giving than receiving. Many see business as a zero-sum game, but I’ve found that the more you genuinely aim to help others, the more success comes back to you in unexpected ways.

What is the one thing you repeatedly do and recommend everyone else do?

I recommend everyone spend time in solitude regularly. It’s crucial for mental health, creativity, and clarity of thought. Whether it’s a walk in nature, meditation, or simply turning off all digital devices for an hour, find time to disconnect and be with your thoughts.

When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, what do you do?

I take a step back and go for a hike or practice kickboxing. Physical activity helps clear my mind, reduce stress, and refocus. Afterward, I often find that I return to my work with a clearer perspective and renewed focus.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business or advance in your career?

Networking with a purpose has been invaluable. It’s not just about meeting as many people as possible but about forming meaningful connections with those who share similar values and goals. These relationships have opened doors and provided support in ways I never anticipated.

What is one failure in your career,  how did you overcome it, and what lessons did you take away from it?

I launched a product without adequate market research, leading to poor sales. I overcame this by seeking feedback, learning from the misstep, and using the experience to develop a more customer-focused approach. The lesson learned was never to assume I know what the market wants without proper research and validation.

What is one business idea you’re willing to give away to our readers?

An app that connects volunteers with local community service opportunities based on their skills and interests. There’s a gap in efficiently matching willing volunteers with organizations in need, and such a platform could have a significant social impact.

What is one piece of software that helps you be productive? How do you use it?

My Google calendar is indispensable for organizing projects, tasks, and deadlines.

Do you have a favorite book or podcast you’ve gotten a ton of value from and why?

“Atomic Habits” by James Clear has profoundly impacted my approach to personal and professional development. Clear’s insights into how small changes can lead to remarkable results have inspired me to refine my daily habits and routines. This book has provided me with practical strategies for building good habits and breaking bad ones, which has been instrumental in both my personal growth and business success.

What’s a movie or series you recently enjoyed and why?

“The Holdovers” captured my attention not only for its compelling storyline but also for its deeper themes of resilience, family and companionship.
