Where did the idea for Home Care Pharmacy come from? What does your typical day look like?

The idea for Home Care pharmacy actually originated from my father who started the pharmacy in 1986 because he wanted to offer a higher level of care and service that the chain pharmacies were not offering. In a typical day I get up early and takes my daughters to school. Then I go to work well before opening to prep the store and get ahead of the day. After I finish working, I make sure everything is caught up and return home for some quality family time.

How do you bring ideas to life?

To bring ideas to life I often will just try the idea out and give it time to run its course. An idea that is never shared is just an idea and will never become reality without testing.

What’s one trend that really excites you?

I am excited about the new opportunities that pharmacists now have. They get to play a more consultative role with their patients and have a larger impact on their patient’s well-being than they have in the past.

Attention to detail.

What was the worst job you ever had and what did you learn from it?

I worked on an automobile for some time and it was very hard work and I gained a deeper level of respect for that type of work.

If you were to start again, what would you do differently?

I wish they would have integrated more technology into our pharmacy sooner to give the customer a better shopping experience.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

A VIP pharmacy that is linked to a VIP doctor where patients get extra services because they pay a monthly fee to be in the VIP network.

Tell us something about you that very few people know?

I am fluent in Spanish because I lived in Spain for 2 years.
