What is your typical day, and how do you make it productive?

I normally like to start my day fairly early. I like to set aside some time to check my emails and plan for the list of clients I am going to see that day. When it comes to productivity I avoid multitasking, I find that it is far more efficient to focus on one task at a time. I also believe in taking the necessary breaks throughout the day. Many individuals in my field suffer from burnout. Taking the time to refuel and re-energize throughout the day is vital to maintaining a productive schedule.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I start by writing the idea down and discussing it with friends or colleagues. I value the opinion of my peers and I think reflection is an essential step in the idea process. It’s important to consider all options before moving forward.

What’s one trend that excites you?

Economic growth excites me because it means I get to see the practice flourish. I have happy clients who refer other clients to me, and it increases the potential to open new offices.

What is one habit that helps you be productive?

I wake up early and will try to make some time to exercise when I can. I find that waking up early allows me the necessary time to organize my thoughts as well as my tasks for the day. I will typically prioritize my responsibilities and then work to check each one off throughout the day.

What advice would you give your younger self?

I would tell my younger self to be persistent. The business world is highly competitive, so you always want to maintain that edge. I’d also remind myself that failures are an essential part of your success. Taking the time to reassess your goals and objectives is what will take you to the top.

Tell us something you believe almost nobody agrees with you on?

There are different conspiracy theories that I believe in. People think it’s silly, but I enjoy researching and learning new things.

What is the one thing you repeatedly do and recommend everyone else do?

Stay active and keep moving. It has a lot of benefits, so I think that everyone should do it. A healthy body leads to a healthy mind, and exercise is a great way to recharge after a stressful day at work.

When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, what do you do?

I set myself apart from the environment and take half an hour to relax and breathe before going back. I find that meditation is also a great way to re-focus.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business or advance in your career?

I always keep a great attitude towards potential clients. Being friendly has helped a lot with being able to get and keep clients. Establishing long-term professional relationships will guarantee future business, and will encourage current clients to recommend our services.

What is one failure in your career,  how did you overcome it, and what lessons did you take away from it?

When first starting out in my profession I didn’t quite realize the importance of communication. Through my experiences I now understand that open-communication and transparency are needed to ensure that everyone remains on the same page.

What is one business idea you’re willing to give away to our readers?

I think that anything to do with Ecommerce has a great potential to succeed in 2023. The proper research and a comprehensive business plan is vital to achieving one’s long-term goals. I think that a lot of individuals jump into business without the proper market research and often fail within their first year.

What is one piece of software that helps you be productive? How do you use it?

Excel lets me sort and analyze high volumes of data from a client. I find that it is not only versatile but also very user friendly and allows us to be productive on a daily basis.
