Steffany Boldrini – Founder of EcoBold

Born and raised on a small ranch in Brazil, Steffany Boldrini was destined to become a future green entrepreneur. An environmentalist at heart, her love and passion for nature was awakened by her mother at a very young age. She instilled many of the “green values” that drove Steffany’s curiosity for the environment, providing an enriching experience to learn how to compost, recycle and eat healthy. Ultimately, her upbringing was an important life-changing event, which culminated into what is now EcoBold, a leading e-commerce company providing online video reviews of various green and eco-friendly products.

As an active ecopreneur and social activist, Steffany  Boldrinialso spends part of her time writing on green issues for the San Francisco Green Living Examiner and Life360 Blog Green Living.

What are you working on right now?

I am overseeing the strategic direction and day-to-day operations at EcoBold. As a personal green initiative, I aim to maximize the adoption of green products and services by connecting green manufacturers with consumers, while providing “green coupons” to make buying eco-friendly products more affordable.

3 Trends that excite you?

Green!
People wanting to make a difference.
Teaching others how to live an eco-friendly lifestyle.

How do you bring ideas to life?

By working hard toward my goals I bring ideas to life. We all face hurdles throughout our careers, the only difference between a successful person and someone who isn’t successful, is the willingness to find a different route. EcoBold was never supposed to be a video website of green products. Making videos was a solution to a problem I was having with the initial idea of just selling green products!

What is one mistake that you’ve made that our readers can learn from?:

I assumed that people understood the job that needed to be done. You have to guide each person and make sure that they understand the assignment every step along the way.

What is one book and one tool that helps you bring ideas to life?

“The Magic of Thinking Big” by David Schwartz. Awesome.

What is one idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

Give me a natural nail polish, and I’ll do a review on it right away! I can’t find something that’s 100 percent safe, and I know lots of women would love it.

How do you decide which products make it onto EcoBold?

I do lots and lots of research. When companies say their product is green, it doesn’t necessarily mean it is because there are no standards or requirements stopping people from making such claims. Consumers definitely have to be aware of green washing!

What do you want to do when you grow up?

I want to be the leading force behind making each and every product in this world not only sustainable, but also safe for our health.
