Alicia & Luci Peraza

Don’t focus on what everyone thinks you should do. Do what you want to do and stay true to you.

Married couple Luci & Alicia had dream to begin something magical. 2peasinapothecary herb shop began when together they created a vision for our passion to help others reconnect by bringing you back to your natural state. They believe hand selected teas, spices, aromatherapy, and holistic nutrition for optimal health and wellness to nourish and replenish the mind, body, and soul as one.

They focus on organic and environmental sustainability and support everyone on their wellness journey with a variety of products that give you that old fashioned feel. The brand has been featured in multiple publications such as Medium, Us Weekly, USA Weekly and so much more.

Where did the idea for 2PEASINAPOTHECARY come from?

2PEASINAPOTHECARY adapted in which my wife and I are like 2 peas in a pod and we are obsessed with vintage /Apothecary and herbal essentials for the mind body and soul.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

We are very structured by our lists. We use Trello to organize our tasks and we both have responsibilities in the business so we are more productive. We make time to research how to better our products and how to really connect with our customers. That is the most important priority.

How do you bring ideas to life?

We ask ourselves how can we enrich peoples lives and health in this day in age. What are the needs that people desire to live a long lasting life of healthy and freedom? We keep asking those questions and connecting with people to create products that are timeless.

What’s one trend that excites you?

We are sort of anti trends because let’s face to it’s a trend and it will die so we try to focus on the natural roots of things that will always be needed. We do have to say we love the fact that companies and society are paying more attention to the importance of being healthy.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

Disconnecting! It’s so important to disconnect from the technical world and stay grounded. Taking time to mediate, read, laugh, experience places and really live what life has to offer.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Don’t focus on what everyone thinks you should do. Do what you want to do and stay true to you.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

My wife can say this and some might laugh so you can fill in the blank or take it as you wish.. Our statement: It’s not a conspiracy, wake up World!!

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

Spend time, real time and embrace it without feeling you need to capture it for the world. Never apologize for who you are and what your purpose is.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

LISTEN to your customers. We are constantly connecting and asking them questions to understand them. So many companies just look at stats and surveys but that is not enough. Create products and services your customers needs, fulfill a need, solve a problem not a temporary fad

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

We don’t call it a failure we call it detours but we took our business on the road and our RV broke down in the middle of the most popular season. We were devastated but learned so much that we were able to get up and move on. In fact we had to go through that detour to learn the lessons and reap the benefits we have now.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

We believe in passive income so if you have a product you need to add a service to your business plan and you need to offer your services to business to Business and Business to consumers. Your business shouldn’t just have one income stream. Think about the businesses that need something from you consistently.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

Hot Air Balloon ride, hands down such an amazing experience!!!

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive? How do you use it?

We love Trello ( keeps us super organized with tasks) and Convertkit for CRM is beyond AMAZING and the absolute best for any business (like seriously automation at your fingertips)

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

Dear God, Are We There Yet By Alicia Sanchez, I am biased but seriously it’s what every entrepreneur asks, Are we there yet ? and it’s action oriented.

What is your favorite quote?

We have so many but our favorite is:
“If we surrendered
to earth’s intelligence
we could rise up rooted, like trees.”
—Rainer Maria Rilke, Rilke’s Book of Hours: Love Poems to God
