Jordan Wavra is a Holistic Health & Lifestyle Coach, Certified Personal Trainer, and Mindfulness Expert who supports fellow moms on their journey towards a healthy, vibrant, energetic life. She’s a wife, mom, and adventure seeker. She firmly believes in the power that a holistic lifestyle, energy healing, and a positive mindset have on the connection between the mind, body, and soul. Her hobbies include travel, hiking in the mountains, reading a good book, and going on adventures with her family. Her family’s most recent adventure has been to eliminate all the “stuff” and take life on the road. Her and her husband just recently bought an RV and are currently based in Arizona with their son and two black labs.

Jordan’s journey towards holistic health began about 6 years ago when the chronic stomach pain, fatigue, and stress had finally taken their toll on her health. She began studying nutrition, mindfulness, and energetics and began to see her health transform in ways she never thought possible. She now works with women who are passionate about transforming their health & lifestyle to live the best life possible. Together they co-create a lifestyle that encourages them to live a healthier, happier, more positive and mindful life through holistic approaches on health, nutrition, and lifestyle, leaving them feeling confident in their body and empowered to take control over how they look, feel, and show up in the world each day.

Where did the idea for your company come from?

Growing up, I struggled with chronic illness and stomach pains. As I got older, I tried seeing doctors and getting blood work done but no one could figure out what was going on with my gut. Over time, I became chronically fatigued and struggled with stress management. When I’d about had enough, I met a holistic practitioner who introduced me to holistic nutrition and alternate healing modalities. After working with him for 6 months, I felt better than I had in years. Working with him taught me the importance of nutrition and the effects it can have on the body and the mind. After having my son, I decided to leave teaching so that I could stay home with him. I wanted a way to be able to do that while still teaching something I’m so passionate about. So, I decided to start my own coaching business: Jordan Wavra Coaching, LLC.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

I wake up at about 5AM every morning, even on the weekends. I start my morning with meditation, journaling, and quiet time. Then, at about 6AM, I do some non-urgent intentional work. Things like working on my coaching program, writing blogs or articles, recording videos or podcasts, etc. At around 7AM, I make breakfast and set my intentions for the day. If my son is up by then, we have breakfast together and then we both get ready for the day. At about 8AM, I do my morning workout. Then at 9AM, I start my “work” day. This includes coaching calls, follow up emails, etc. I take a break in the afternoon to play with my son, then when he goes down for a nap I work on school work (I’m currently enrolled in school for holistic nutrition.) My cut off time is 4PM, after that I put away email and other work related tasks and spend time with my son and husband. In the evening, around 8PM, I journal about my day, what my successes were and what I’d like to improve on. Then I’m in bed at 9PM every night.

Having a morning routine in place where I allow myself to set intentions and plan out the day keeps me on track and helps make my day more productive.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I usually journal or meditate on my ideas. This helps me visualize them and see my desired outcome of the idea. This usually give me some insight as to how I want to proceed or what steps to take in regards to making the idea a reality.

What’s one trend that excites you?

The mindfulness meditation trend!

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

Getting up and going to bed at the same time every day regardless of if it’s a weekend, I’m on vacation, or traveling. Also, exercise!

What advice would you give your younger self?

Life is much more freeing (and much less stressful) when you speak your truth.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

Fruit, while it is a “natural” sugar, is still a sugar and is processed by the body the same way “added sugar” is. About 2 servings of fruit will fill the recommended daily allowance of sugar.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

Use a daily planner to set intentions and plan for your day every morning and reflect on your day every evening.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

Being seen. I host free webinars, do LIVE videos as well as IGTV videos, I reach out to websites and offer to write blog posts and articles for them, and I reach out to podcast hosts to share information I believe will be valuable to their audience.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

The very first time I launched a program I didn’t have anyone enroll. I wanted to quit, I thought it meant I wasn’t good enough. However, instead of quitting I revamped the program idea and offered it to free to my Facebook Community as a week long “healthy habits” challenge. I had a ton of engagement and positive feedback and helped give me the confidence and motivation I needed to move forward.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

Membership site for weekly workouts and meal ideas.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

I recently spent $100 on my monthly wellness box from DoTerra Essential Oils. Totally worth it because the there is an oil for everything!

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive?

Google calendar. I use it to plan out my week and set reminders and alarms for various tasks and projects I need to get done throughout the week.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

Letting Go by David Hawkins

This book talks about the power of the mind & body connection and was incredibly eye opening for me. I couldn’t put it down and still go back and read certain chapters from time to time when I need some motivation.
