What is your typical day, and how do you make it productive?
My typical day starts with my morning exercise and a fresh green juice to boost energy and creativity. I then begin my work day with content planning, researching potential guests for my podcast “Ambition Unleashed Podcast”, recording and editing episodes. Before my day ends, I create a to do list for the following day to ensure maximum productivity for the week.
How do you bring ideas to life?
I’m an incredibly creative individual who has very clear visions of my goals. I have a Type A personality which allows me to focus on the smallest details in every task.
What’s one trend that excites you?
One trend that excites me is the future of story telling in the form of podcasting. I believe that all entrepreneurs have incredible stories. Providing entrepreneurs a platform to share their stories publicly will inspire and empower my listeners.
What is one habit that helps you be productive?
One habit of mine that helps me be productive is documenting everything. It provides me with records that I can look back on and use to help me with future tasks or issues that may arise.
What advice would you give your younger self?
If I had to give my younger self advice, I would tell myself that everything will work out amazing and to be patient.
What is the one thing you repeatedly do and recommend everyone else do?
One thing I repeatedly do and recommended everyone do is I focus on serving others rather than myself. People are happiest when they focus on serving others unconditionally.
When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, what do you do?
When I feel overwhelmed, I stop whatever it is that I’m doing. I take a deep breath and I usually talk to God and ask for clarity and peace.
What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business or advance in your career?
One strategy that helped me grow my business is whole heartedly serving my community and letting people know that I genuinely care about their needs.
What is one failure in your career, how did you overcome it, and what lessons did you take away from it?
One failure in my career is probably more of a missed opportunity. I learned that if I don’t ask, I don’t receive.
What is one business idea you’re willing to give away to our readers?
A business idea I can provide to your readers would be to start one business that fuels their passion and another business that generates passive income.
What is one piece of software that helps you be productive? How do you use it?
A piece of software that helps my productivity is my timer on my cell phone. I set a timer to allow myself s certain amount of time to focus on a particular task throughout the day, so that I don’t spend too much time only doing one thing.
What is the best $100 you recently spent?
The best $100 I spent recently was purchasing an SSD card for my podcast videos. It was actually more, but that’s the most recent purchase I’ve made. I love purchasing things for my business and view it as an investment towards my future.
Do you have a favorite book or podcast from which you’ve received much value?
Yes!! I’d have to say that my favorite podcast is mine, Ambition Unleashed Podcast, for bias reasons, but also because I truly believe that it changes lives for the better. My two favorite books are From Stay At Home Mom to Business Owner: 10 steps for success. A book I wrote to help moms wanting to re enter the workplace. And, How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie.
What’s a movie or series you recently enjoyed and why?
I don’t watch much tv so I never really know any of the new or popular shows.
