Where did the idea for Pro-fit Development Inc. come from?

The idea for Pro-fit came after I made my first real estate investment in 2001. In the course of my investments, I noticed that there was a gap in customer service, in the real estate market. That’s when I launched Pro-fit with the goal of offering real estate services that went beyond the transaction. At my company, customer satisfaction is a top priority.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

My typical day at the office starts at 8 a.m. I first meet with my staff and go through all projects for the day, and also review any issues from the previous day. Once this is done, I meet with clients for the better part of the day. My company is heavily focused on the customer experience, and I always make sure that I am in touch with their needs.

How do you bring ideas to life?

I am a very action-based person and any time I see an idea, I implement it as fast as possible. Some work, and others fail, but I always take everything as a learning experience.

What’s one trend that excites you?

I am very excited with current construction trends. For instance, I see augmented reality disrupting 3D modeling in the construction process, and it’s exciting.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

Consistency. I have standards and I always strive to maintain them. Whenever I see clients happy due to my consistent quality of work, it motivates me to put even more effort and give my best.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Listen to your mentors. I made several mistakes when young, and I know I could have avoided them, if only I had listened to my mentors. If I could go back in time, this is the one thing I could change.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

Asset tokenization will revolutionize the real estate market. I have taken part in several real estate ICOs and I know this will be huge.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

I have a very consistent daily schedule. It helps create an element of predictability in what clients can expect. I have seen it work in my business, and I would recommend other entrepreneurs to try it too.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

A relationship based strategy. Ever since I started this business, I have focused on establishing strong relationships with my clients. It has helped, by giving me a quick feedback loop for all my work. Anytime there are issues, my customers communicate openly, and I am able to rectify them as per client needs. I have seen my client list grow significantly thanks to this strategy.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

I ventured into a business that I had neither passion nor experience, and it failed terribly. To overcome it, I dusted myself, and moved on to the next venture. I learnt to only put money in ventures that I am passionate about, and to always take time to learn.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?
